Slicer selection determine the column of the table
Hi, I would like to ask is it possible that Power BI able to develop the dashboard like the photo attached ? If can, may I get some ideas on how to develop ? The dashboard has 5 slices and each slicer is referred to the column of the table, the selection of slicer is the column name which able to select the column name and the table able to display the data of that column. The 1st slicer is referred to the 1st column of the table, 2nd slicer is referred to the 2nd column and so on. The 2nd column of the table is like the drill-down of the 1st column, 3rd column is like the drill-down of the 2nd column while column 4 and column 5 are the measure value. For example, when the user selects 'region' for the 1st slicer, 'distributor' for the 2nd slicer, 'salesman; for the 3rd slicer, 'year/month' for the 4th slicer and 'value in box' for the 5th slicer, the table will show all the regions for 1st column, all the distributors for the 2nd column and so on. I want to ask (pictures attached), I gave an example of me using visualisation of "Button Slicer (Top)" and "Slicer (Bottom)" in the picture, I have a table where I have Reporting Date column then I make custom column for the quarters and months. The "Year" in the slicer is from Reporting Date hieararchy (Year), but the quarter and month in the slicer, they both are custom column that I made from the Reporting Date column (so they are not the hieararchy of "Reporting Date"). My questions (I don't mind if you answer with "Slicer" visualisation or "Button Slicer" visualisation): In Picture 1, If I select Q1 and it turns grey, how do the visualisation slicer for months turns black (for Jan, Feb, Mar) without me selecting the Quarter slicer? In Picture 2, If I select any month (for example: Aug) and it turns black, how do the visualisation slicer for quarter turns grey (Q2) without me selecting the Quarter slicer? In Picture 3, If I select Year "2025" and it turns black, how do the visualisation slicer for quarter and months also turns black without me selecting Quarter and Month slicer? Hey guys I have a table with multiple categories and I need to filter them in the visual by slicer. The table should be in one visual with all the data. And if a filter is selected it should filter the columns not the rows/values. Filter Nutzung (filter rows): "Nutzung" that need to be filtered: easy with a typical slicer with the values from the original table. Filter Gewerk (type of work) - Filter columns: there starts the problem there are multiple columns with the same type of work (red is one and green). The prefix to each name in each column is red = "Heizung" = "HEI". For green = "KΓ€lte" = "KAE" Filter Systeme - Filter columns: I assume this would be the same workflow as "Filter Gewerke". I know there could be a workaround on this one and this is not the core of relational databases/modelling with primary keys. Custom Checkbox Icons
Hello, We are making PowerBI reports for a customer who wants our BI reports to adhere to their style guidelines. One thing they asked for is to turn our (slicer) checkboxes a different color and to make them more rounded, with specialized icons inside. Is there any way to do this using BI? I haven't been able to find anything out there on this.Setting Default Value of Slicer Checkbox based on role/column?
Hello Team, Its a custom requirement for me, I have a table with ntid and appid with Table 1: ntid appid [email protected] 83 [email protected] 52 [email protected] 72 [email protected] 25 Table 2: I have a mapping table appid and its desctiption for above table. Also i have created a relationship for both the tables. Based on the image attached below while loading the page by default , based on the user([email protected]) logged into the system and the role management is configured properly and that specific users application assigned need to be selected in the slicer check box by default and all the other check box(other user application assigned names(id)) should show with out selected in the screen of slicer. [Error] Couldn't load the data for this visual in DirectQuery mode
Hello, we are currently encountering an issue regarding data in the "Direct Query" mode: Within the Slicer: If it's single selection, the visualization chart encounters the following error: [OLE DB or ODBC error: [Expression.Error] Unable to fold the expression to the data source, please try a simpler expression] (as shown in picture below). If it's multi-selection, the visualization chart displays correctly. May I ask what could be the cause of this issue?
Visuals not displaying any data
Hello everyone, I've built a report that is to be used to summarise various economic data. I have been trying to add a slicer into my Power BI report to filter by country across all pages. I had managed to do this, but as soon as I deselected that country and chose another, the visuals wouldn't load. Having deleted the slicer, I cannot revert back either and now all visuals (charts/graphs) that would have been affected by the fitler are now blank. How do I rectify this? - My look clean (None across all pages, 'all' selected on each visual, etc.) - Table mapping of relationships appears correct - Table validation is also okay (e.g. for Italy there is GDP data, it just won't show in the visual) Am I missing something obvious?
