Shape Map Fill Colors - States With Multiple Regions
Hi, I need help with using a shape map to display colors like the map below. I have a table with all states and the respective sales regions, some having two or three regions (for example, California and Oregon). However, I get stuck trying to get it to fill a state with multiple colors for more than one region. Any idea how to do this without creating a custom map? Here's what my current map looks like on my report divided into regions:
Shape map in Power BI Desktop RS
Hello community, Last september, I created a report on PBI Desktop for Report Server which contained a shape map (with a TopoJSON file). But today, when I reopened it to do a modification, the component had disappeared from the visualizations pane. The visual is still present in the report, but it is not possible to add a new one (except by copy/paste the old visual). Is it normal that this component disappeared from the visualizations pane?

I am not sure if this is the right section of the forum to be asking this, but I am trying to get a Shape Map in PowerBi using shapefiles. I have tried numerous times and watched many videos but cannot seem to figure out how ot upload my shp file (and other files) to powerBi and get them to fully load in the Shape Map. I have also installed the shape map visual to my PowerBi. I am trying to get a colored shape map of the US cenus data -- so I have the excel data for population (example) and now i want to use the US census tract data as the map for showing a heat map for population in each city/county based of its geoid or code. If anyone has any tips let me know!How PowerBI calculates these values
Hi all; I wanted to know how the minimum, center, maximum value is calculated by the PowerBI. I am using Shape map and wanted to how it is calculated because I want to compare my calculation. I have this json file with I can make this map. For make, this map I has to transform this geojson map to topojson with this web. The problem is how can I a relation between the division map and a table with the name and other parameters. The last column "Custom" is the official name of this administration division In json file I can't see some identification to correlation the table with the map.Plotting one reference to multiple points on a shape map
Hi everyone, I am trying to plot a list of companies on a UK map by local authority areas. The problem I have is that some companies operate in multiple of these areas, however the map only allows one per company. Hello - I'm looking to build shape map using Land Parcel ID as the location source. I know shape maps are able to map polygons, but I'm struggling to figure out how to convert the Parcel ID into a usuable format to use in the location field of the shape map. My questions are: 1) Does Parcel ID contain enough information to map a polygon in the shape map? 2) What conversion/tools are required to get Parcel ID into a usable TopoJSON file? Thanks!
Shape Map Zoom to Country
Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can help me I want to be able to circle or somehow pinpoint a country on the map without loosing the others when this country is selected. This is due to the small size of some countries that once selected they disappear on the map. For Example Brunei is not visible below and I want it to be like this Thanks in advance for your kind help
