Hi All, We have two instances of PowerBI On Prem Reporting Server. One is a Developer edition used for Testing and Development, while the second is an Enterprise Edition used for "Live" reports. I updated both to the new Sept 2021 release but I noticed a few differences in the Reporting Configuration on the Enterprise Edition. Developer Edition Enterprise Edition The Enterprise edition is missing the Edition details, and does not show the 'Scale Out Deployment' tab or the 'Power BI Services (Cloud)' Tab. Does anyone know if this is a bug or some of this information has just been moved? The reports seem to be working fine, so i'm not hugely worried but wanted to check to be on the safe side. Thanks to anyone that can help shed some light.Solved2.2KViews0likes5CommentsPower BI Report Server September 2021 has been Released!

The release can be found at the following Microsoft Download Center link. https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=57270 The changelog will soon be updated with the following information: September 2021 Power BI Report Server Version: 1.12.7936.39665 (Build 15.0.1107.146), Released: September 27, 2021 Features Updated support for Power BI Reports including those with small multiples. Updated Power BI Report Server portal experience as default experience. Bug fixes Deprecated support for Internet Explorer. Power BI Desktop (optimized for Power BI Report Server) Version: 2.97.863.0 (September 2021), Released: September 27, 2021 Contains changes required for connection with Power BI Report Server (September 2021). Updated gallery view for custom visuals. Bug fixes I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight a few things. Internet Explorer supported has ended in this release and will no longer function going forward. Users who connect to the portal with IE will see an error screen stating that a different browser is required. Previsouly referred to as the new Portal experience preview (aka Portal2) is now the default experience after installation. Portal2 has a new theme and slightly different user experiences in some areas of the product. Currently it is possible to revert to the previous Portal UI but this will the final release with this fallback option. To revert try change the setting "UsePortalV2" to "False" in the ConfigurationInfo table of the catalog for your Reportserver. As always if you you do encounter an issue please contact support and/or create a new thread with as much detail as possible and tag me and I will try to reply as quickly as possible. -Pete8.8KViews5likes1Comment
