Area selection in Model view
Are there any plans to add the feature that allows us to select areas in the model view in Power BI Desktop. Right now the only way to select multiple tables to move them around, is to CTRL + Select each one of them, which isn't as efficient as selecting a whole area with our mouse.
Creating one slicer as a search tool for data derrived from multiple columns
Hi Everybody, I am working on a function in which team-managers should be able to search people based on their position and certain skills they possess in order to match people to the open position for which they search new people. I get my data from an Excel sheet and it looks like this: Employee Position Skill 1 Skill 2 Skill 3 1 Asset manager Netwerken aansturen Motiveren 2 Asset manager Anticiperen Samenbindend leiderschap Verbindend Leiderschap 3 Policy director Analyserend vermogen Integriteit Ontwikkelen medewerkers 4 Policy director Motiveren Netwerken aansturen 5 Asset manager Motiveren Netwerken Integriteit I want to create 1 slicer that helps to find the combination of skills that the team-manager wants. So, if I select 'Netwerken', 'Aansturen' & 'Motiveren', I only want to see this combination (underscored for employee 1 and 4) of skills. also it shouldn't matter in what order the skills are handed to me, as examplified in the table above. Currently, if I make this selection, I get results for all people that possess one of these skills, but not the selectoin of these skills combined, which causes me to find a lot of people that don't have the combination of the skillls I am searching for. I tried various things with DISTINCT and UNION formulas, but so far I wasn't able to get the correct result. Do you have some advice for me? Thanks!Hide or unable View menu while visualizing report
Hi guys, I have an issue with the View menu you can see on the upper-left corner of a report when visualizing it on the report server. I don't want to show that, I need to unable or take it off because I don't want my users to use it, above all because there they can find Bookmark and Selection panels and they must not. Hello All, I am trying to calculate standard deviation and most of what I have found on the internet is based on columns in a table and I am struggling with how to write a DAX formula for use with an analysis server where the data pulls from. I have used this link as a basis and have made some strides in calculating the SUM and the Avg. In the screenshot below I have the table in which I selected a range of weeks and Repeat Dispatches in whcih I am trying to plot standard deviation for. For SUM I used the formula: *RDR SUM = CALCULATE(SUMX(VALUES('Dim - Calendar'[Fiscal Week]),([Repeat Dispatch 7 day Numerator]/[Repeat Dispatch Denominator])), ALLSELECTED('Dim - Calendar'[Fiscal Week])) For Avg I used the formula: *RDR Avg = CALCULATE(DIVIDE([Repeat Dispatch 7 day Numerator],[Repeat Dispatch Denominator]), ALLSELECTED('Dim - Calendar')) For Standard deviation I cannot quite find how to use the previous calculations to find standard deviation which should be .0266 based on the calculations I found with an online calculator. Any help would be appreciated. Dave
