Security restrictios Power BI
Hello Community, I´m trying to use Power BI to share information with my clients but I´m facing some issues from the IT department. I would like to share the url-link created with the Pro account so that the clients can access via online, but IT deparmets argues that the company don´t permit access to our sites from third parties. Is that what happens when I share a link? in that case, ther are other alternative to share my dashboards? Thank you very much for your support. Regards, Roberto
Lakehouse: give different access to files/tables to different users
Hi to all, not sure if this is the right place. I'd like to understand if it's possible or is in road-map to give different access to files or tables available in a Lakehouse to different users. At the moment from what I can read here it's not possible, but seems a bit strong: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-engineering/workspace-roles-lakehouse So each users can see every table and file in a workspace. And if a user is more than a viewer has all CRUD operations on each element. How can we segregate? Only by creating more workspaces/Lakehouses? Best regards Daniele Tiles
Problem with PowerBI (RLS) with Direct Query
Hello PBI Community, I have a question regarding using RLS in combination with DirectQuery connections. I have the following situation in my data model: With this relation, I’m able to filter the “Sales Markets Ih” table in the report. Now I create a new role (RLS) with the DAX query: [DEPARTMENT] = USERPRINCIPALNAME() and upload the report, but the report will not be filtered by the users via the RLS query: Can you help me with this?
