Hey! I have built a PBI report in Desktop app which used SAP BW as a data source, everything was ok, data was imported successfully and uploaded it to on-premise PBI report server. I needed to configure scheduled refresh, so I installed the SAP .NET connector on the server, typed the username and password in a report's data source window in a browser. When I test the connection it throws "Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct." error. SAP audit doesn't catch any failed logins. In other words, SAP BW credentials work in PBI Desktop but not in PBI Report Server. Can you help with the problem?568Views0likes1CommentSAP BW Direct Query is not working after publishing to Report Server
Hi, I have connected to Power BI Desktop using Direct Query method to SAP BW. I have created dashboard successfully. However, once I published the report to the Report Server, it is no longer working. The dashboard shows blank. I have installed the .net connector on the report server. Do I need to install any other thing in order to connect? Thanks, Hasmath617Views0likes0CommentsSAP Data Sources on Report Server
Hello All, 1. We are able to successfully connect to SAP HANA and BW landscape using Power BI desktop version for our PBI Report Server (PBIRS) and publish reports to the Report server. 2. We were also able to create a SAP BW data source on the Report Server and the Test Connection was successful too (using Connection String for SAP BW). Right now we are only able to use Import mode and draw results into the desktop tool and publish them to the Report Server. But our DirectQuery (live connection) reports fail when we run them on our report server. How do we get around this issue? Secondly we are not sure on how to leverage the SAP BW Data source in bullet#2 above created on report server to build a new report or to replace data source for existing report that was published by doing a Import. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Is this not available right now as I infer from this post? https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/19832149-shared-data-source-connection-live-to-tabular-ssa Thanks, Anil2.7KViews0likes1CommentPower BI Get Data from SAP BW Query display SAP Business warehouse: RfcInvoke failed

Hi! I try to fetch data from SAP BW, but I see only first 133 symobls or less. Execution mode = BasXmlGzip Batch size = 500000 Data Connectivity mode = Import Implementation = 2.0 (requires SAP .NET Connector 3.0) But I see full text when I connect to the cube throught Excel Analysis Services. How can I fetch full text from SAP BW with Power BI? Or maybe I can fetch data from SAP BO (if a connector is exists)?610Views0likes0CommentsIssue creating SAP BW type Data source in PBI Report Server
Hello Everyone, I am trying to create SAP BW type data source in Report Server ( Nov 2017 version) But getting error message as - I am not facing any issues while creating reports using Power BI Desktop (Oct 2017) for Report Server ( 64 bit) in Direct-query mode. I have also copied SAP RFC SDK 64 bit library files in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server\PBIRS\ReportServer\bin. Any clues what I missed here ?Solved10KViews1like15Comments
