row level security
3 TopicsTest Row Level Security with each of multiple reports sharing a dataset in a premium workspace
I have a dataset which draws data from many Excel workbooks which are all saved on sharepoint (we are moving toward having direct access from Power Query - in Excel or PBI, to DWs on our systems, but that's another story). I then use that same dataset for several other reports. In the service where these reports and the dataset are saved to a premium workspace it is possible to test the RLS. However, I have no choice as to which report the RLS is tested with and no way of changing from whatever report the service seems to decide it wants to use to test with to another report. I can probably delete the reports I don't want to test from the workspace so that testing defaults to use the only report there, but, that seems unsatisfactory. Is there a better way?5.7KViews1like10CommentsRow Level Security Issue
Hi everyone, I'm facing a problem applying a Row Level Security to my report. I have create a Rol where I filter the Countries depend on the user email. And when I click on test a role it works. Then when I publish the report on the workspace I can see the Role created. But the issue comes when anyone opens it and It is not filtered by the country of the person who is watching it. It is as if the role had not been applied. Do you know if i have to change anything on my workspace/report/database settings? Thank you, Regards.Solved874Views0likes1CommentRow Level Security Error
Hi everyone I have a user that is the only person in his access group that gets the following error: Row Level Security is set up per country/entity level. He is part of 2 - ES01 and ES04 and can see data for both groups. I don't know how to approach this issue? Thank you in advance for any help!Solved5.7KViews0likes8Comments
