rls direct query

Hi, I am new to MS fabric. I created a Report of customers for my organization in Power BI desktop, tested the RLS on Desktop and it is working fine. But after publishing the report to Power BI service of MS Fabric , I want to test RLS, but I get this error - Not supported Test as role does not work with Single Sign-On (SSO). Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.See details The storage mode I am using is mixed (both Direct Query and Import). I learnt that if you are using direct Query then you should disable SSO to test RLS. Can anyone please let me know how to do that ? Or is there any other workaround that I can do ? Hello. I'm having problems with my RLS. I'm configuring the rules in ssas and doing the direct query for power bi desktop. So far it works fine, the problem is when I deploy it to my company's Report Server, it doesn't work; the User can see everything.Solved4.6KViews0likes11CommentsRLS Issue with shared dataset
Hi everyone, I'm having an issue due to implemmenting the RLS in one of my datasets. I have the "A" Dataset, published in the "1A" workspace. The access for this "1A" workspace is exclusive for me the admin and the directors board. Here we have all the datasets that we have in our PBI enviroment. From this workspace, we share the datasets to different workspaces. We have a workspace for every department in our company (Sales, accounting, marketing, logistics, etc.) When I start the RLS in the "A" Dataset, 3 roles where created, and I assigned an email with pro license for every role. But, after publishing this dataset to the "1A" workspace, the other workspaces cannot see any data from any dashboard connnected to that shared dataset. Me as the owner of the dataset and PBI admin, don't have any trouble looking the data, and if I enter to the other workspaces, I can see all the data in the dashboards created from the shared dataset without any problem. I was looking for a solution here in the forum, and one was to share the access to the workspace "1A" to the user, bur I can't do that due to all the datasets with confidential information are in this workspace, with viewer access they can see al the dashboards and datasets of this workspace, but they still can't see the information in their reports. But if I gave them member access, then they can see the data as normal. Please, help me to understand if I have to add an RLS role to the remaining users that shoudln't have any restriction to the data. Or any other solution will be very welcomed. I've been following the instruction posted: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/row-level-security-report-server I've created two roles in power BI desktop and they work correctly. When I save the PowerBI report to the report server I get the error message. Row-level security is not available for reports using Direct Query with integrated authentication. Learn more According to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/row-level-security-report-server " You can also configure RLS on reports that use DirectQuery, such as SQL Server. Keep in mind that RLS isn't respected if your DirectQuery connection uses integrated authentication for report readers. " So I changed my Direct Query Connection in the Power BI desktop to database authentication. However this did not fix the problem. I guess I don't understand what needs to be configured to get Direct Query with RLS setup. Can you provide more detail on the configuration to do RLS and Direct Query?
