Report Design for the Novice Power BI Report Consumer Your data model may be brilliant, and your visuals may be powerful, but what do you do if some of the potential report consumers, who need your amazing work, just say “no thanks”. There is a good chance that those users might be: • Worried about having to learn something new • Afraid to be embarrassed about not knowing how to analyze data. These are some of the most common reasons people resist anything to do with Technology. Fortunately, these issues can be easily resolved with report design. Not changing your existing reports, that more than likely someone in your company specifically wanted. But instead, adding some additional report pages, that will easily guide these “Novice” users through exploring data for themselves. Join Belinda for a demonstration and discussion on some easy visualizations and report options to make all users excited about checking out data. End-to-End CO2 Reporting with Fabric By Jordy Sels and Maria Lysenko This presentation delves into leveraging Microsoft Fabric for ESG reporting, with a focus on CO2 emissions. It examines both the advantages and disadvantages of Fabric, demonstrated through a dummy dataset. Key highlights include data transformations from the silver to gold layer using built-in Jupyter notebooks to create processes that are auditor-friendly for external ESG reviews. The session also addresses the limitations of Copilot in generating visuals, underlining the need for a design sprint approach to ensure effective and impactful reporting solutions. Hi, I am a SQL DBA who is fairly new to the Power BI admin side of things. I have been asked to change an existing deployment, to move the SQL Workload off one server to another. Currently Server A Hosts the Power BI Reporting, the databases for this are on Server B, these are the databases I need to move to server C. However when I try to move the databases and re point the database via the Database/Change Database/Choose an Existing Report Server Database functionality, it says. "This Edition of Reporting Services requires that you use local SQL Server realtional databases" Thing is, this happens with either the name of the new server (C) or the existing one (B) which is already in and working so its already using a server that is not local, I can see connections to it ? So it must have been accepted at some point. Both servers can be succesfully connecto using the "Test Connection". Another thing that seems unusual, and may be related, on the front page, under Report Server Status it has an instance ID of "PBIRS", and the next item down is the edition which is blank. Any ideas, suggestions gratefully received.Solved2.4KViews0likes4CommentsMicrosoft teams grayed out save feature for power bi embedded report
