Scheduled Refresh of Report on Locally Hosted Report Server
I am trying to host a report and get it to update daily with new data. Right now, I have all of the data on the PowerBI service as dataflows or under a dataset. When I use these data sources (which are already updating daily), within my report PBIX file, and I upload it onto the web URL for others to view, I cannot schedule a refresh for that report. It says I don't have any external data connections defines or am using an unsupported data source. I have several API queries making up all of my data. Need to figure out how to get these refreshing all the way through to the report on the host server every night. Is this possible? How do I get this flowing properly?
New Power BI Update Does Not Allow Online Report to be Replaced
Hello, I noticed today when attempting to republish a PBIX report online that I was no longer given the option to override the pre-existing report given that they have the same name and workspace. Instead of the pre-existing prompt, I am now greeted with this: When choosing to replace, this only affects the dataset being uploaded and not the report itself. I don't want to have to reshare links and reshare permissions every time I go to publish this report, as the stakeholders of prior reports are used to navigating to a bookmark for consistency's sake. I'm not sure why Microsoft would decide to implement this evidently hindering change. Any thoughts on how to work around this? Thank you!Unable to load the model as Viewer
Hi, Would like to raise a question regards accessing reports as Viewer (which means no access to the dataset and no rights to modify anything or even share reports with your own network). Did something have been changed in PowerBI? Since I am sharing my report now, as I used to do: share/ Manage permissions / Direct access / Putting user email (deselecting sharing and building content using data) and hitting send, they receive an email with an invitation and a link that they can press and access the report, but now whenever I do that I am getting the error below: Any suggestions, since I do not want to add external users as Members or so (FYI, viewers can still view older reports, it is an issue with creating new ones). Web report not showing same data as desktop
Hi, I have been working on a report which came out just as expected on desktop and web report once published. However, once the report is manually or automatically refresh, the data on one of the table seems to just disappear. I tried to replicate this in the desktop application by refreshing but the data came out just fine. Now even republishing or refreshing wont fix the issue in the web report. Note that this is 3/12 visualisations that's having this issue; the rest are working as intended. These three table share the same source table, but other cards that reference this table are not behaving out of the ordinary. Any guidance would be much appreciated!
One User (Workspace Admin) Sees Different Content Than Others in Power BI Report Online
Hi, here is the issue: User A is set as Workspace Admin User 1 is set as Workspace Admin User 2 is granted access to this app User 1 and 2 and myself can see the content of the report correctly, see below: 3 different departments with 6 numbers. However user A is seeing a different view online when he accesss the report: one department name shows up in the box (card view) 3 times, the numbers show up differently (wrongly) too. User A has tried different computers, even used his phone (but I assume that the wifi network is the same), he also tried different browsers, cleared caches etc. Still not getting the correct views like other users do. Anyone has any ideas please?I see a different color in my powerbi desktop report and in the published report
When I open my powerbi desktop file the visualizations are brown, then I publish it, open the online report in my premium environment and the colors of the same visualization have changed! they are now purple!. I've seen people say this already happened in June 2020 and the bug was fixed, but I think the bug reappeared with the Dec 2020 update. Any idea on how to fix it?
