5 TopicsQuick Fix for OAuth2 or “Organizational Account” Authentication Support in Power BI Report Server
Hi Everyone, Our team is currently using Power BI Report Server (PBIRS) and is facing the challenge that OAuth2 or “Organizational Account” authentication types are not supported for scheduled data refreshes. We're looking for a quick fix or workaround to enable authentication with SharePoint Online or other cloud-based services requiring OAuth2, without moving to Power BI Service or migrating to Azure in the immediate future. Can anyone recommend a solution or best approach for integrating these authentication methods in PBIRS, considering our environment and requirements? We are not planning to transition to the cloud anytime soon, so we need an on-premises workaround or approach. Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! riccardomutiSolved6.3KViews0likes11CommentsPower BI Report Server Branding
Hi, After I updated the Power BI Report server to September 2022, a new button and drop down menu appeared when the current size of the browser window is not large enough to write out the full path and report name. Until the May 2022 Version, the report name is not written out fully in case the complete path is too long, and gets cut down with "..." . This seemed to have been changed from September, as now the report name is written out completely, and the path itself is shortened to a new menu with a new button "[...]" and a dropdown for navigation, see screenshot. This only appears if the browser window is not large enough to show the full path. My issue is that i can't seem to change the color of this new button or the color of the dropdown navigation behind it. I have changed all the previuosly known json parameters in the colors file of my branding to anything but black and the button / dropdown menu still stays black. How should I change the color of this specific button? Is there a new json command that did not exist previously which is controlling it? Or is it a bug?Solved3.3KViews1like3Comments[BUG?] - “The credentials provided for the File source are invalid” Error when scheduled refreshing

Hello, I recently created an RDL using Report Builder and uploaded it to my Power BI Report Server. The report works perfectly on my local machine but does not run from the Power BI server. I get this error below. I think it is related to datasource but I am unable to resolve. I have tried to enter my details in the datasource section but it does not work. An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Cannot create a connection to data source 'CRMUAT_MSCRM'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection) For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors Best Regards, Simon415Views0likes0CommentsReport Sever hosted on AWS
Hi team, My customer is asking to host PBI Report Server on AWS (VMs) instead of an On-Premises Server. Reviewing PBI Server Report install requirements, I can see that is necessary to have a Windows Server for PBI Report Server and a Windows Server for SQL. Having this in mind, I think that is perfectly possible to install it on an AWS VMs...so, my questions are..... 1. Is this possible? 2. Any success case with this subject? 3. Additional considerations? Thank you.603Views0likes0Comments
