Automatic data refresh for Power BI embedded
Hi, I have implemented Power BI embedded in a web app and used the Python script to import the on-premises data to the Power BI. I use the power BI embedded generated sample .NET file without Channing anything. Question: Can we do the data automatically refresh without using the on-premises data gateway (personal mode) in the above embedded option? Can explain how to implement the automatic data refresh for Power BI embedded?
Received error payload from gateway service with ID 82135
Hi All, Suddelnly my gateway not accessbible and reports are visible any users. I tried check on gatesways and found below message against my gateway. the gateway status is OFFLINE. Administrator confirmed that gateway has been updated and restarted even though still below error is blocking everything. Error Message As : "Received error payload from gateway service with ID 82135: Error logging on username '<euii>xxxxxx\yyyyyyy</euii>'"Cannot set a scheduled refresh because my excel file is a 'dynamic data source'
Hi, I want to schedule a regular refresh for my dashboard but my excel file (saved on a company sharepoint) is considered a 'dynamic data source'. I don't know why it is (it doesn't have any external data connections) but I am looking for a workaround. Hello there, I tried to share a PBI report from report server to an external client, however, the client was told to enter a password to enter with his email. That is unusual becasue other clients don't have the same problem, our report server work space is Power BI premium with the diamond logo, therefore, enternal users should not need a Pro license to view the report. Do you guys have any ideas how that could be resolved? Any help is appreacited, thank you.
How to launch a report from a dashboard
FYI I am new to this! I have a dashboard (powerbi embedded) that I want to add a report to. What I would like is for the user to be able to slice and dice the dashboard as needed, then have an 'Export' button on the dashboard that will pop-up a window that shows the associated report filtered to the user's selection. From there, the user can save the data as XLSX. I see there is a report widget, which looks like it will handle most of the above just fine, however I do not want it taking up my screen real estate all the time. Ideally the report widget would be hidden and then an export button would unhide it, and then it would hide again when the user clicks away, but I don't see that type of hide/unhide control available. Curious to see what my option are or how others launch reports from dashboards? Thanks for any ideas!!
