Hello, My goal is the following: I have to display images, stored in PowerBI dataset into SSRS Report. The images were converted to Base 64 format and they are displaying correctly in PowerBI desktop. When I try to load them in Report Builder it's not possible and I receive error. This is what I've tried so far: - First - I select insert image --> the value of the Image with base 64 format. The source is "Database" and MIME type "image/jpeg" - Second - the same thing but instead of the base 64 image I select the text value of the image. Both give no result. I also tried the solutions from this post but they didn't work for me -->https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/How-to-display-Base-64-PNG-images-from-a-database/m-p/1177424 Can you plese help with this? Hi, I need to display some name & id as a header. We are allowing only one name to select from filter, when we display as header using text box or table or list, we are getting same values duplicated in multiple rows though only row to be expected. Is there a way on this Paginated Report to display only one value as however I try same value getting repeated in multiple rows. Please let me know if you need more details. Its getting repeated like as in snap below: To be displayed like: Thanks NagSolved1.4KViews0likes2CommentsNo Fields in Dataset
Hello, I've connected my Report Builder to a Dataset in my premium workspace. It is listed as a data source. The Table Wizard requires connection to a Dataset, so when I try to make a dataset out of this source it doesn't give me any fields to pick from. It's like the data source has no fields at all. I loaded this to PBI Service from PBI Desktop where I've made various reports with it. Any idea why I can't get the fields to show up?Solved2.2KViews0likes3CommentsPage break for column groups - paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder
Hi! I am creating a report with some year/month column groups (as below). I would like to have a page break for every year group (not month group) in Power BI report builder. I am able to do so with the row groups, but can't seem to do it with the column groups. Any ideas? Thanks!Solved1.6KViews0likes1CommentCan we retain table relationships when using 'Add Power BI Dataset Connection' in Report Builder?
I'm trying to recreate a Power BI table report as a paginated report. In Power BI Report Builder, I was able to connect to the Power BI dataset by right-clicking on Data Sources and selecting 'Add Power BI Dataset Connection'. However, problems arose when adding the dataset. In Query Designer, I can see all 10+ of the tables in my Power BI dataset. I was able to drag & drop the necessary fields into the workspace, but when I executed the query, I had a ton of duplication issues. It was obvious the tables were no longer joined by related fields. Is there any way to use the 'Add Power BI Dataset Connection' in Power BI Report Builder for Power BI datasets with multiple tables AND retain the relationships? Power BI Report Builder is pretty cumbersome and it would be amazing to add Power BI datasets with relational integrity. That would make life so much easier.Solved5.2KViews0likes6CommentsAlternative to Nested Lookups to Bridge Unrelated Datasets
Hi, I'm trying to find an alternative to nested lookup tables (which aren't allowed in Report Builder) that allow me to do the following: I want to bring data from Dataset 3 into a table that initially had data from Dataset 1 in. I can create a lookup with Dataset 1 and 2, or I can create one with 2 and 3. However I cannot use a nested lookup for 1 and 3 and don't know what else is possible. What function can I use to bridge Dataset 1 and 3? Dataset 1 Col1 Col2 1 a 2 b 3 c 4 d 5 e 6 f Dataset 2 Col2 Col3 a 7 b 8 c 9 d 10 e 11 f 12 Dataset 3 Col3 Col4 7 g 8 h 9 i 10 j 11 k 12 l Much appreciated, WillSolved1KViews0likes2CommentsPower Bi Report Builder
Hi All, Not sure if this is possible yet in Report Builder. The Tablix column heading uses data to group each column on, when data does'nt exist for that column the column no longer appears. This makes sence. I remember it is possible to define the columns when data doesnt exist in MS Access on a crosstab table and woundered if there is a way to do a similar thing in report builder. This is to keep tablix columns aligned from different datasets. Hope this makes sence. Many thanks ChrisSolved995Views0likes2CommentsDynamic Paginated Report in Power BI Report Builder
Hello everyone. Till now, I have worked only with Power BI Desktop application. However, now, I need to create a paginated report that will get delivered to users' mailbox automatically everyday. I searched around a little bit and discovered Power BI Report Builder tool. However, I find it extremely unintuitive (compared to PBI Desktop) and the documentation is not as clear as that for PBI Desktop. Basically, I am fetching data which looks like below (from SQL Server) - What I want to do is have a paginated report created which will have X number of pages in it, where X = no. of distinct BUs found in the records. Each page in the report should have the BU name mentioned at the top. The first page should show the Total Aggregated Amount (ALL BUs combined). I plan on showing a line chart on each page. So, for my dataset shown above, the report should contain 4 pages - 1. Total, 2. EX1, 3. EX2 and 4. EX3. Everyday, at a certain time, the report generation process should start and create a PDF of this report and deliever to the users' mailbox. What I wonder is - are all of these things possible with Power BI Report Builder ? If so, could someone guide me through the process of report design. I have tried following a couple of articles I found on the web (links shared below) but no luck getting things the way I want 'em. Any help is appreciated.
