I have a report based on Departments. I need to be able to change the specific department when doing a multi-value parameter, i.e. select all option. Want to display the specific department in the header for the data displayed. It works fine if only selecting an individual department. When select all is chosen, it only displays the first department for all pages. Any assistance would be appreciated.139Views1like12CommentsHow to increase image size in Power BI email subscription?
Hi everyone, I'm using Power BI Pro and configured an email subscription for my report. The report image that appears in the email body is too small and hard to read. I already tried increasing the page size (width and height) in the report settings, but the image in the email remains the same small size. Is there any way to make the image larger in the email body? Thank you!Solved601Views0likes5CommentsColumns heading when exporting a Report Builder report to CSV
I’m trying to export a Power BI Report Builder (Paginated) report to CSV, and I need the CSV output to use the display text (the friendly column headers with spaces) that I’ve defined in the report rather than the underlying dataset field names. Has anyone configured a paginated report so that the CSV export uses the textbox labels instead of the field names? If so, what settings or properties need to be adjusted?Solved5.4KViews0likes5CommentsDefault Grow To Fit, Auto-Size Width - October 2025 Release
To PBI developers and fellow users, The new October update bringing Grow to fit as a default has been frustrating to work with. As someone who has used Power BI for the better part of a decade I find it much cleaner and user friendly to manage my column widths instead of arbitrarily assigning widths based on the space of a block. This is how we all have been doing for years. Per the release notes: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-october-2025-feature-summary/ Auto expand table columns The Grow to fit option distributes extra space across columns for cleaner visuals. And I'm not the only one: As Kyle puts it, we are frustrated by being forced default options that, in our opinion, degrade user experience. I encourage making the service easier for new users to drop in things and make it look pretty with minimal effort. But now I have to go into each table and switch this setting each time I want to return to a traditionally auto-sized column. Please make the default "Fit to Content". Or at least give an option to set a client preference for one or the other. We have a user who has content manager access to the folder with our shared data sources in our Power BI Report Server. This user can run reports using those data sources from the report server site itself. When the user tries to build a report from Report Builder, he can connect to the shared data source and even refresh the fields in his local dataset. But, when he tries to run the report in Report Builder, he gets an authentication error. The user has read permissions in the database used by the shared data source. It seems like there's some problem with Report Builder on his machine making use of the shared data source on the report server. If we add the user to the Admins group on the actual report server (in Computer Management), the problem goes away. Why can the user not run a report from his machine that uses a shared data source without being in an admin group? Thank you in advance!Solved1.3KViews0likes7CommentsHow to default to Select All in a Report Builder Parameter
I have created a Paginated Report Parameter that displays a list of Legal Entities and the user can choose one and refresh the report. I want it however to default to selecting ALL of them - but this does not seem possible? Also - seocndary question - If ALL are selected I'd like it to say the word 'All' (or similar) in the textbox on the users screen, instead of showing the first Legal Entity even when they are ALL selectedSolved18KViews0likes3CommentsPaginated Report background Image multiple pages
