Power BI Refresh Frequency
I hope to display my Power BI report on a screen and refresh it very frequently (e.g. every 5 mins). My report connects to the SQL Server Database (on-premises gateway, "Import" method) and my account is with a Pro license (I do not plan to upgrade to Premium), I'm currently refresh my report 8 times per day. I heard different opinions, some say even the premium lisence can only refresh 48 times per day, some say the "Automatic Page Refresh" enables refreshing at every 1 second (refrence: Real-Time Analytics in Power BI (analytics8.com)). Can Power BI achieve a real-time refreshing with Pro lisence? Thank you in advance!
Power BI report shows expired password despite the password working from the source
Suddenly my report started to display this error whenever I tried to refresh it. It's hooked up to an oracle database which is connected to IFS and I use SQL Dev to modify the database. The password is up to date and working in SQL Dev and I can update the view that Power BI is pulling from but the error comes up when refreshing in Power BI. Is their some way to fix this, I have even tried to re-import the data and it comes up with the error as well?How to refresh ALL dashboards in a specific folder on PBI Report Server ?
Hello, After the deployment of a patch and a refresh of my dataset (a SQL Server), is it possible to refresh ALL dashboards in a specific folder on PBI Report Server ? My report was connected to a SQL database with "import" method. It extract data from a stored procedure with an "EXEC spXXXXXX" syntax. I have set a "Scheduled refresh" for 8 times per day. However, when my computer was shut off and SQL Server Management Studio offline, my Power BI report cannot refresh and the scheduler would automatically turned off. In order to keep this report update, I have to keep the SQL Server Management Studio online every morning, somtime I refresh the dataset manually. The error message said "Your data gateway (personal mode) is offline or couldn't be reached." Any solution to this problem?TOO_MANY_DRILL_DOWN_OBJECTS ERROR
Hi Everyone!! I have a dashboard that has their autorefresh set up. It use two data set from SAP. The last 2 months when this report try to refresj gave the following error: Underlying error messageOData: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. (Program error in class CL_RSBOLAP_QV_RESULT_SET method : TOO_MANY_DRILL_DOWN_OBJECT I was looking for ideas to fix it. I checked the characteristics and both data set has lest than 8 characteristics each query. Someone know a way how to fix the problem!! I appreciete idea. Best Regards, Sonia
Broken relationship after RS refresh
Hi I have an issue where resfreshing my data on Report Server breaks one of my datasets relationships to the date table. The relationship is ok when refreshing the data in PowerBI desktop RS. The relationship is ok when saving or overwriting the report to RS. The relationship breaks after any scheduled refresh on RS.
