Hi all, While working on a computer vision project at DataToBiz, we built the edge side of a real-time system, and I’d like to compare notes with people here on how the data side would work in Fabric. On the edge, the detection runs on a Raspberry Pi. We used YOLOv8n with ByteTrack to track vehicles across frames, plus Depth-Anything-v2 for depth estimation from a single camera so we could apply spacing rules. The model was converted to ONNX, TFLite and NCNN, and we used quantization and threading to get the speed we needed without heavy hardware. A camera, GPS and compass were synced by timestamp, so every detection comes out tagged with its time, location and direction. Post-processing smooths the detections to reduce flickering. That leaves a stream of time-stamped, geo-tagged detection events from many devices, and that’s the part I’d like your input on in Fabric. Would you ingest it through Eventstreams into an Eventhouse and query it with KQL, or land it in a Lakehouse and process it in batches? Where does that line sit for you when the end goal is near real-time dashboards? How do you handle devices that go offline and send their events late or out of order? Do you rely on event time in the Eventhouse, or clean it up downstream? For the geo side, with coordinates and direction on every event, how have you handled spatial queries and map visuals in Real-Time Intelligence or Power BI? Is it good enough, or do you still end up pre-processing the coordinates? And with raw detections arriving continuously, how do you decide what to keep as raw events, and what to aggregate into something like per-location availability for reporting? Would love to hear how you’d approach it.Solved87Views0likes4CommentsDate slicer
Hi, I need some help with Power BI. I want to use a Between Date Slicer and display the dates in this format: DD-MMM-YYYY Example: 01-Jan-2020 I don’t want to use the default dropdown/date format. I specifically want the Between slicer with two date inputs (From Date and To Date), but I need the displayed dates to appear as 01-Jan-2020 instead of the default format. Could you please guide me on how to achieve this? If the standard Power BI slicer does not support this format, is there any custom visual or alternative solution that can provide the same Between Date functionality with the DD-MMM-YYYY format? Thanks!Solved81Views1like5CommentsUnable to create a Monitoring Eventhouse in a Microsoft Fabric workspace.
I am trying to enable Workspace Monitoring for a Microsoft Fabric workspace. The user has Fabric Administrator access and is also a Workspace Administrator. However, under: Workspace Settings → Monitoring the + Eventhouse option is disabled/not available. We have verified the tenant-level settings and confirmed that “Workspace admins can turn on monitoring for their workspaces” is enabled.Solved180Views2likes6CommentsBest Way to Monitor Marketing Campaign Performance in Real Time Using Microsoft Fabric or Power BI?
Hi everyone, I'm building a real-time dashboard in Power BI to monitor social media marketing campaigns. The goal is to combine data from platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Google Analytics into a single dashboard. I would like to track metrics such as: Impressions Reach Clicks CTR (Click-Through Rate) Engagement Rate Conversions ROI (Return on Investment) I'm considering using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Power BI for data collection and visualization. Has anyone implemented a similar solution? Which architecture or Microsoft services would you recommend for near real-time reporting? Any best practices for handling automatic refreshes, data modeling, and performance optimization would be greatly appreciated? I also put together a guide on social media analytics and campaign monitoring on my website. If sharing resources is allowed here, I'd be happy to share it with anyone who is interested. Thanks in advance for your suggestions! Luv KalraSolved233Views1like4CommentsReal-Time Dashboard continuous refresh no longer refreshes faster than 10 seconds
Hi everyone, Until last week, I had an option in Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Dashboard to configure refresh as Continuous, meaning that visuals would refresh whenever new data arrived, with the maximum time without new data being around 10 seconds. After the latest update, which I believe was released yesterday, the behavior seems to have changed. Continuous refresh now appears to be enabled by default, but the minimum refresh interval is 10 seconds, so it does not seem possible to refresh faster than every 10 seconds anymore. Also, for visuals that do not support continuous refresh, or when no new data arrives, the dashboard now seems to refresh every 30 seconds. My questions are: Is there still a way to configure Real-Time Dashboard visuals to refresh faster than 10 seconds? Is the old continuous refresh behavior still available somewhere in the settings? Is there any workaround for achieving near real-time refresh when data arrives, instead of waiting for the fixed interval? Was this change intentional as part of the latest Fabric update? This is important for our use case because we monitor live operational data, and even a 10–30 second delay can make the dashboard less useful compared to the previous behavior. Thanks in advance for any clarification or suggestions.Solved1.3KViews0likes6CommentsError in Microsoft Applied Skills: Implement a Real-Time Intelligence Assessment Lab : Need help
Hello All, since a week I was stuck on one error in Microsoft Applied Skills: Implement a Real-Time Intelligence solution with Microsoft Fabric Lab. Did anyone face the same issue if so, can anyone help me out how to resolve it. Attaching the error and related images below. Error: It says " unable to load container blobs. Verify that workspace identity is enabled and has storage blob data reader access to the storage account" . I am familiar with this permission and have enabled it in my own azure environment for my own blob that I have created but since these are pre created by Microsoft, I don't have access to these storage blobs and hence I am not sure how to proceed here. I have attempted this twice but I was stuck at the same point. I really appreciate your help and taking time in looking into my post. Thank you so much.Solved1.8KViews0likes7CommentsError while saving a dashboard having a Tile with a simple table

Dear community members, Need your kind assistance . When I am trying to make line graph on Real time dashbaord. Microsoft applies forced UTC interpretation on all datetime fields only in dashboard streaming tiles I push 2026‑02‑02 14:00 (SGT) Power BI assumes it is 2026‑02‑02 14:00 UTC Then Power BI converts it to your browser local zone (SGT) Becomes 22:00 on the tile. I need to have same timestamp on line graph, that i am pushing using streaming type dataset. Is there a way to achieve that?Solved6.5KViews0likes5CommentsAzure Maps base layer not loading in Real-Time Dashboard - Only points visible
Hi Fabric Community, I'm experiencing an issue with Map visualizations in Real-Time Dashboards. The data points are rendering correctly, but the Azure Maps base layer (streets, terrain, satellite) is not loading - only a white/blank background appears. **Environment:** - Microsoft Fabric Real-Time Intelligence - Real-Time Dashboard with KQL queries - Eventhouse as data source - Browser: Chrome/Edge (tested both) - Region: South Central US **Steps to reproduce:** 1. Create a KQL query with latitude/longitude columns 2. Add to Real-Time Dashboard 3. Change visual type to "Map" 4. Configure: Latitude column, Longitude column, Label column 5. Points appear but no map background **What I see:** - Colored circles representing my 10 GPS devices - Correct relative positions between points - Zoom controls (+/-) present but don't show map tiles - "Center" button works for positioning **What I expected:** - Azure Maps base layer with streets/roads visible behind the points **Troubleshooting attempted:** - Tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge) - Cleared browser cache - Verified coordinates are correct (Mexico City area: 19.5, -99.3) - Checked browser console - no obvious errors **Questions:** 1. Is there a known issue with Azure Maps in Real-Time Dashboards? 2. Are there specific tenant/admin settings required for Azure Maps? 3. Is this a preview limitation? Screenshots attached showing points without map background. Thank you for any guidance!Solved4.2KViews0likes2Comments
