I have looked everywhere to see why the Publish to Web feature is not working. Warning: You can't create an embed code because the report is not eligible for use with Publish to web. The Admin enabled publishing and creating new embed codes. She also diabled blocking. I reviewed the list of items that could be blocking it. I can't find the reason it won't work. It seems like reports that use OneLake data are not able to publish. Is there a setting somewhere in the data warehouse that i need to update? Has anyone else had this issue?927Views0likes3CommentsIs there a way to display a category count as "less than #" if the count is less than a value?
Hello wonderful BI-ers, I am working with FERPA protected data and cannot display the count of a demographic category if the count is very small, because the person/people in that category might be able to be identified. So instead, I want to display the count of a category as "less than 5" if the count is less than five, but retain the numeric count values for categories where the count is over five. This count would be in a tooltip. In other words: when I hover over a column in my bar chart, I want to display a text value if the count is under a threshold, and a numeric value if the count is over a threshold. Here is a sample of the data (not actual numbers): Year Race Count 2020 White 189 2020 Black 27 2020 Asian 89 2020 Other 2 2019 White 234 2019 Black 54 2019 Asian 4 2019 Other 6 So in this case, when I hover over the bar for [Year=2020 Race=Other], and [Year=2019 Race=Asian], Instead of the tooltip displaying "2" and "4" respecively, I see "Less than 5" (or "< 5"). I have a tooltip set up right now displaying counts in categories, what I'm asking is about displaying those values as text based on a condition. Is this possible?Solved1.6KViews0likes2CommentsReport requires to click View Report twice for results to load

Ok so I hope this has not been asked before but I have been researching and havent really found anyone doing the same conversions I am looking at doing so I apologize if it has been asked. We are currently using Crystal Reports 2013 to create reports for users to run as needed with certain parameters that they input to generate a report and from of some of the tutorials I have seen it seems that paginated reports in BI will be a good replacement(I hope). We also have many reports that are made that generate csv files and place them on a shared drive on daily intervals at different times. So here are a few questions that I have. 1. Can I create a report in Power BI to auto generate a csv file and pass that file, on whatever schedule I choose, to a shared drive? If so what are the limitations to such a task? is there a limit to how many scheduled tasks that can exist or is that limit scaled by network and server ability and storage? If so is this a native supported task or do I need have all sorts of extensions or use programming languages to build the capability? (BusinessObjects this is a super simple process) If not what are my options for achieving such a task? 2. With existing Crystal reports does Power BI have the ability to host these files similar to Business Objects or will each and every report need to be remade by hand into Paginated Reports? 3. Is there a conversion tool to convert from Crystal Reports to Power BI? (had to ask but I have seen very few conversion products ever work in other languages I have worked on)Solved3.3KViews0likes2CommentsCLIENT who launched the report LOCALTIME

Due to security we are having to use the Report Server on premise. I have noticed that significant areas of the BI Service aren't available on the Server. The 2 main questions are: 1. Can we have the Q&A functionality on our report Server reports? 2. Can we have Dashboards? Are either of these likely to become available on Report Server? A little background on the issue that i am attempting to gather info for. My company is running out the On-prem report server, which is awesome, i am a huge fan of Power BI and have been pushing for it with upper management. Now we are running into an issue with the auto refresh feature on the report server. 95% of the time our refresh times out and fails on the server, however, runs fine on the desktop version. Has anyone had this issue before? most of our queries are SQL based and you use that to pull the data we need for our reports. Should we start using DAX language to query the server over SQL? Looking for insight from outside sources, and anything will help on these performance issues5.2KViews0likes4Comments
