Subscribe Preview Image is not not displaying. Shows generic Power BI icon instead of image This is a multie page report and we have a subscription for each page. Daily at 8 am Central Time USA. Have the Permission to access the report in Power BI, Link to report in Power BI and Preview Image checked. The problem is that the preview image is the generic Power BI image and not the report image. These reports are going to our executive leadeship team so it's import the preview image works everytime.
error previewing a reply that has a pasted table from Excel
When pasting a table from Excel into a reply, this Community (not this forum) is showing an error: "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested." I've converted the Excel table into a range, which I'm pasting below. When previewing my reply without any other text or link, the preview initially warns: "Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied." When I try to preview again, the Community shows the error and no preview (the action). However, there's no error if NOT previewing. In other words, the pasted table can be posted in a reply. Just wondering though, am I not correctly pasting? I'm new to Power BI - we are starting to use the 'Try new' Workspace creation inteface that is currently in Preview mode. How long are these new features typically in Preview mode before they become the default? What I've read about this preview - is it will become the standard and we will need to migrate any Workspaces created in the 'old' way. Is there any way to make the Preview the Default so no new workspaces are created the old way - before this preview becomes the Only way? ThanksPreview Features to Power BI Report Server
Is there an estimate/roadmap as to when functionality currently available in the "Preview Features" tab will become functional in PowerBI Report Server? I am specifically interested in Shape Map but based on posts/blogs, I see that they are not available in the August Report Server release, either as a preview (previews can't be see in Report Server anyway) or as a fully integrated tool. After upgrade to october preview on both server and desktop I get an error message when saving report as Power BI Report Server. Error message: An error occured while attempting to save the report to Power BI Report Server. Same result for both new reports and when over writing an existing report. I have made no changes to users and this was working just fine before the upgrade. Trying to get a sense of which Power BI Service (cloud) functions are available in Power BI Report Server (on premises), and which are not. The following Power BI Service functions appear to be absent in Power BI Report Server (August 2017 preview): Power BI Datasets Authoring new reports directly from the web (Power BI Report Server) Dashboards Generate Automatic Insights from the data Show related content (From the context of a selected Power BI report, identify other reports on the Report Server that are derived from the same data source) Subscribe to emails when data for a report is updated Get data alerts when dashboard data passes certain limits Show Report Usage metrics Share report to an email address Show who has been granted access to a report Schedule refresh of Power BI Report data Refresh Power BI Report Package Report content as an App And probably other items. If any of these items are available in Power BI Report Server (August 2017 preview), please let me know, and/or explain how to use that feature. Thanks, TLJ
