Hi Folks, I have successfully saved the PowerBI Report to PowerBI Report Server. In that PowerBI report, I can't able to get the Option Data Source (it was greyed/disabled) in Manage (it was greyed/disabled). I am using Azure DevOps (Boards only) as a Data Source, but in Microsoft PowerBI documentation they said it was not a supported data source. Reference:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/data-sources Here I want to get the report Data live in PowerBI Report Server. Can anyone have any workaround for it? I am planning to work on PowerBI Project. I have a client requirement to depoy PowerBI reports on premise SQL Server Report Server. I know that we can get the PowerBI Report Server Licence by using one of the following ways Power BI Premium (PowerBI Service) SQL Server Enterprise Edition with Software Assurance (SA) It would be very helpful for me if any one can suggest / provide the solution on my below queries Query1 In SQL Server Report Server, we can import 2 GB of data. Is there any way to import more than 2 GB data in SQL Server Report Server? I have approx 8 to 10 GB data to import. Query2 Can we get the same P SKUs licence for PowerBI Report Server using SQL Server Enterprise Edition with Software Assurance (SA) as we can get Power BI Premium to deploy reports on PowerBI Service? e.g can get P1 (8 Core) or P2 (16 Core) or P3 (32 Core)...licence for PowerBI Report Server If yes then what would be import limit in PowerBI Report Server for P1, P2, P3.... Many Thanks in Advance.. Really great if any one can resolve these queries838Views0likes2Commentsparameters in report server
I made a reprot in powerbi desktop (RS) with a dataset which is a query on SQL DB. I have a list of parameters to pass to the report. I can do this in desktop by selecting the parameters, but when I publish to the Report server, I can't select any parameters. How can I give the possibility to my end-users to select parameters on the report server? (I want the exact parameter functionality of SSRS)1KViews0likes1CommentPowerBI RS May 2019 Desktop - Error Deploying to SSRS DirectQuery
Hi, I have found a problem (I think) in the May 2019 edition of PowerBI Desktop for Report Server. When I deploy a report created in January 2019 edition that uses DirectQuery to a SQL Server data source, it works fine. It deploys to SSRS, and I can run the report and produce the expected results. If I take that pre-existing report, open it in May 2019 edition, and deploy the same report to SSRS, again, it works as expected, and the report data loads and refreshes without issue. If I create a brand new pbix file in May 2019 edition with DirectQuery to the same SQL Server data source using the same query, create an identical report to the previous where the only difference is that it was created entirely in May 2019 edition of PBI, then deploy to the SSRS server, I get the following error: Both reports are set up to use the windows authentication credentials of the user viewing the report, but the Jan 2019 created version of the report works, and the May 2019 version produces the error captured above. Does anyone know what might have changed in the May 2019 PBI Desktop edition that might cause this? Is this intentional, or a bug? For now we have reverted back to January 2019 edition but I would like to know if this can be solved. Can anyone else reproduce?
