Hello, I have several Power BI PostrgeSQL DB reports that were developed in the desktop app and uploaded to the web site of our on-prem Report Server. In the desktop app they refresh as they should and update the reports. On the web site on the other hand, they do not refresh and I am seeing that the domain controller is denying it due to lack of permissions. How can it be a permissions issue if the desktop app refreshes as designed? We are on the last release of the September 2025 Report Server and Desktop Appliance. Can someone point me in a direction as to the issue?Solved2.5KViews0likes14CommentsHTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable
Hi, I have Power BI Report Server (May 2019) installed on SQL Server 2016 Enterprise working perfectly. But today I was upgrading to the September 2019 version, the installation completed normally, but when I opened the reports the following message was displayed in the browser: HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable I checked everything: - I checked logged in log files: C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Power BI Report Server \ PBIRS \ LogFiles, but found no errors. - I checked if service stopped. - I uninstalled and installed, but the same error occurred. But I was able to install Power BI Report Server (September 2019) on another server running SQL Server 2014. Has anyone had this problem? Is it a bug in this release, which does not let install in SQL Server 2016, only in SQL 2014?. Thanks. _KenySolved37KViews0likes8CommentsMicrosoft Power BI Report Server January 2026 latest Release

Can someone provide some uses cases or why a developer would copy a dataset from one workspace to another? When a dataset is copied, is it duplicating the data or simply referenceing the original dataset? How does the copied dataset impact the connection to a Power BI Dataset? For example, If I copied a dataset from workspace 1 into workspace 2 and in the Power BI Desktop would like to connect to the Power BI dataset, would it show 2 versions of it? One in workspace 1 and another in workspace 2? And would it would it matter which one I connected to?892Views0likes2CommentsCANNOT IMPORT THE ACCESS DATA TO POWER BI

Hello all - I am having an issue with changing the Visualization Type when I "Visualize this View" with Power BI from my model-driven app. Myself and my colleague are able to change the x-axis, y-axis, etc. components but are unable to change the Visualization Type. I can confirm this worked for me last week but now the Visualization Options do not even pop out like they did last week. The bar just highlights gray and does nothing when it is clicked. I've included a photo of what happens below. Hoping this is just a permissions issue! Thanks!Solved1.4KViews0likes2CommentsPower BI cannot refresh automatically

Hello everybody!! I need some help with the date slicer on Power BI Desktop. When I create my Dashboard, I put an slicer between two dates, that are my first and last date based on my Calendar table (it's based on my first ticket creation date, on my tickets table, and "today" function). After, I publish it on my Report Server, set the schedule refresh, everything is okay. But on the next day, when I'll check the Dashboard, after the refresh, the last date wasn't the most recent date (or today, in that case), but the date when I published the Dashboard, so the viewer needs to slide the filter to the right to get the actual date, or click on the "clean filters" button. That's the example of date filter that I'm using. It was published on Jul,11 (it's on Brazilian format), and the second image, is the today refresh. Note that the first date changes too, because the Dashboard was published with data from Apr, 11 2019 to Jul, 11 2024, so at the refresh, my source data was only after Jan, 2 2023 There's some solution based on this? I've the latest release of Power BI Desktop and Report Server, but I didn't find any settings to do that. I've searched in a bunch of topics here, on Stack Overflow, Reddit, but didn't find anything specific for that.Solved3.7KViews0likes2Comments
