Authentication failed when logging in locally
Hi I have published my RS to the Internet through a firewall. To do this, I have registered a public subdomain. When I connect to the server from outside the VM, there is no problem. But when RDP into the server itself and type FQDN of server, authentication window pops up and asks for username and password. No matter which username/password combination I provide, it rejects my user/pass: Report Server Configuration Manager: Access from my laptop via FQDN and SSL connection through firewall: Access from within the server via FQDN and SSL: This is exactly where I'm stock. Please help. Thanks.
Authentication was unsuccessful when trying to access power BI report in Dynamics CRM
Hi, In our project, we are working in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, in that we have a tab where power BI have been embedded. It is usually used for accessing visualised data insights, but it can't be accessed right now showing authentication error, when tried to sign in no luck. You can see the attached image. I am unable to connect power BI server with Azure SQL database. When I try to connect to data sources, I can see only two option 1. Windows authentication 2. Microsoft authentication the microsoft authenticaltion throws error on entering Azure SQL database credentials however I am able to connect to the same Azure SQL Database using Power BI Desktop. In power BI desktop it ask for server and Database name and i am able to sign in through microsoft sign in option. Is there any drriver required for Power BI server. Can you please help !
Connect to Project Web App
We wrote Power BI reports against our Project Web App in cloud. It wasn't until we published these reports in our Power BI Server (Version 1.3.6801.38816/August 2018) that we discovered we could not schedule a refresh because the authentication method isn't supported. In our Power BI Desktop report we chose Organizational Account to authenticate and everything worked great, including publishing this report to our PBI server. The only authentication methods supported on the Power BI Server are Anonymous, Windows Authentication, Basic Authentication, and Key Authentication. Our O365 administrator said the only accounts he can create and authorize are the organizational accounts. My questions are Is there a way to get around this problem? Will Power BI Server support an authentication method which will allow us to connect to our Project Web App data in the cloud?
