Power BI report server configuration error
I have recently installed a Power BI report server, While I am configuring Database in Report server Configuration Manager I get the following error: Microsoft.ReportingServices.WmiProvider.WMIProviderException: An error occurred when attempting to connect to the report server remote procedure call (RPC) end point. Verify that the Report Server Windows service is running, and then retry the operation. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The RPC server is not listening. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706B3) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WmiProvider.RSWmiAdmin.ThrowOnError(ManagementBaseObject mo) at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WmiProvider.RSWmiAdmin.GenerateDatabaseScript(String databaseName, Int32 lcid, Boolean isSharePointIntegrated, String& script) at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.GenerateDatabaseScript(String databaseName, Int32 lcid, Boolean isSharePointIntegrated, String& script) From SSMS I can connect to the SQL server and create a database. Restrict access data in Power BI Report Server with Microsoft Access database
Hello, I want to segregate data in Power BI report server. The database is an Access database. "User 1 can only view the Perimeter" , "User 2 can only view the Perimeter 2". I have seen some solutions in internet : - Row Level Security in cloud (report services) - Using username() in MS SQL Server but it doesn't work for Microsoft Access database in Power BI report server. Can you help me please ? Thanks in advance

I installed The latest version(March 2018) of Power BI Report Server(Evaluation) on my Production Server(2012 R2- Standard) and installed the Power BI Desktop optimized for Power Bi Report Server - March 2018 on my pc(Windows 10). When I attempt to upload a report to the server(2012 R2- Standard), I get this error "There was an error uploading your .pbix file. Verify that this file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file." There is no problem with the file since I am able to upload it to a local report server on my PC (Windows 10). This error only occurs while I am attempting to upload to the Power BI Report Server on my server(2012 R2- Standard). Any help? As suggested by another user on this forum, I have changed the service account in the report server configuration manager from virtual service account to network service but the problem persist.
An error occurred while attempting to save the report to Power BI Report Server
We installed Power BI Report Server (Octobet 2017) from Enterprise license with SA (we have an EA). The existing report server was SQL Server 2014 Enterprise with many rdl files loaded. The Report Server was upgraded first while SQL Server 2014 Enterprise database engine was not upgraded. The reports ran fine but we never tested Power BI Reports. After upgrading the database engine, SSAS and SSIS to 2017 Enterprise, the first Power BI report we tried to save got the following error: An error occurred while attempting to save the report to Power BI Report Server. (close and cancel buttons) The report is saved on the portal and can run on the portal if the data was imported. If a new Power BI report has a live connection to SSAS, no data is displayed. The service is being run by an AD account that has local admin on the server. Text and setting icon color in power bi
how i can gave the different color to the text in small title bar mean the color of favorites or browse and the colorof icons on the main title bar like setting icon etc because when i changed the color of text in the small title bar the color of icons absorbs the same color can i change it using branding package. In the given image when i changed the color of text(browse) the color of setting icon will be changed with same color i want different color of setting icon using branding package.No folder content when connecting to PBIRS with Win APP
Hi, I have a PBI Report Server running (2017). I can publish normal reports and PBI reports to the server and everything can be viewed in a browser. When I connect to the server from the Windows PBI App I can see the folder structure but all folders are empty :-( Anyone else have this problem? BR Nicolaj
