power bi report server error
3 TopicsThe underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure
We have an on-premise Power BI Report Server with September 2022 release. It connects remotely to a SQL Server 2019. We can view its folder (like https://site_FQDN/reports/browse) but 500 error is thrown when viewing the dashboards. The error starts to appear the evening of 11/15. The RSPortal.log shows the error below. ERROR|21|OData exception occurred: System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. ---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure. When using "netsh http show sslcert", IP:port (0.0.0.0:443) is fine. Everything responded to "netsh http show urlacl" also looks good. What does the "remote certificate is invalid" means? Hello, We are trying to send mails with Power BI Report Server (subscriptions) but we have the following error: This is the mail system at host ........................................ I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system <email.email@domaine>: SMTPUTF8 is required, but was not offered by host ........................... In the official documentation the UTF8 functionality is mandatory. My question is if any of you have found a workaround on the Power BI side? Thank you in advance for your feedback, Beautiful day, Vivien1.7KViews0likes1CommentTable name too long
We're creating naming conventions for a schema to use for various tools, and are running against Table Name too Long errors when using Power BI Desktop Report Server (January 2019). I have not found documentation that shows the limitations of either Table Name or Column Name length for Power BI Report Server (or service). Can someone help us find this? We don't want to use illegal characters either. Tried Direct Query and Import on a table name of 128 characters that is not failing using other tools. DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR [HY090] [Microsoft][ODBC] (11400) Table name too long. Details: DataSourceKind=Netezza DataSourcePath=edwprd.carilion.com;EDW_PRD OdbcErrors=Table Thank you for any help you can provide. We need to document the requirements, and I am not finding on any MS whitepapers.3.5KViews0likes3Comments
