Data gateway
I've had a PowerBI connection with a server at a client's site. Now, this server has been phased out (read: died), and we want to rebuild the connection from the new server. As far as I can tell, we are working with a data source: These selected items need to be adjusted to the new gateway and a new KMG-DB name. Now, I need to link the new data source to the PowerBI dashboard being created, and I'm having trouble with that. I can't select the new gateway because the data source there doesn't match (it should be KMG-DB02 instead of KMG-DB01). Do you know if this can be done easily? Thanks, Glo
Gateway setup on power bi (onedrive file)
Hi there, I have a dashboard on my BI workspace which cotains cloud file that I have already setup correclty on gateway and one file that comes from onedrive. I thins case, I am trying to setup but the credentials I enter does not work and I am sure I am using correct one. On the windowns credentials, which ones I should use? What is a Gateway? An on-premises data gateway is software that you install in an on-premises network. The gateway facilitates access to data in that network. If you have installed the gateway already and are looking forward to updating it to the current version released by Microsoft, then this section is for you. I am trying to highlight the steps that I have implemented in my organization which can help to provide the one-place reference for you to update your gateways. I have used the November 2019 update from Microsoft while working on this blog, and Microsoft may change the steps in the future, but they can still be used as a reference, as per my understanding.
