First: A very great tool, we would like to use it in our company to calculate our CO2 footprint. Can someone help me with the following: The installation and linking with our TeanantID works, but only the sample data is displayed. Or at least the calculated data is not plausible (500000 users shown in a company with 7 people). Does anyone know a fix? We are using Power BI Reporting Service (in-premise) version 1.5.7074.36177 (May 2019) and have recently encountered an issue with the Power BI dashboard reports hosted on the reporting server. We have noticed a few times on an ad-hoc basis that the Power BI Report Server schedule is working without errors, but the data within the dashboard is not updated. If we open the Power BI Desktop file, there are data errors in the Edit Query similar to below which get resolved on selecting Refresh All. After pressing save, then the data does get updated. Is there a way to see in the SSRS Log for such errors? Has anyone experienced similar issue?468Views0likes0CommentsCreating a group in a measure
Hi! I'm creating a matrix containing financial data. My data is from an SSAS source and therefore I can´t create custom columns or use the data och relationship tabs. Option one is to group five of my accounts together as a group to use as a column. Is there any way I can do that using a measure or IF-statement? I can not filter the accounts on the formatting of the fields tab, The other option is to filter the same column in two different ways in my report based on if the value is negative or positive. Green: Net income based on all costumers Red: Cost based of a group of costumers excluding the others. Hope you can help me, thanks!493Views1like0Commentsbig data analysis : can power BI handles Millions of row in a reasonable duration
Hello, I have been testing Power BI for a possibility of using it with my software instead of tableau, Excel ... or other BI. I have a tricky question: I receive 1 to 5 million of rows of data (around 16 fields each row) per day, and I store incrementaly the result in a postgress on a server on Digital Ocean. Will Power BI functions on tables with 100s Millions of rows and can i use the web reporting function. I read somewhere that I need to use Azure for Power BI for large volumes ??? I need to know if this is feasible first, then I will surely ask the community how this is done and how I can distribute different reports on the web for different users. This is a big project, and I need you support ;-) Thank you for your supportSolved9.2KViews0likes1CommentPassing parameters to a Power BI report in Power BI Report
Hi everyone, Is it possible to use parameters in report by date range, and the scenario is if from_date is less than to_date than my data column shows actual price of item, otherwise estimated. e.g. parameters are, from date = 1st July 2018 To date = 20 July 2018 My data column should display actual data for 1st to 7th July as per today (7th July). And from tomorrow 8th to 20th July it should display estimated. Thanks in advance.655Views0likes0CommentsDownloaded report from Report Server contains old data
Hey all, We have deployed a report to our Power BI Report Server. It's succesfully refreshing every morning and the latest data is visible when running the report in the portal. This is the between date filter showing selectable dates for the data: Once downloaded and opened up the report shows that the latest data is a couple of months old. Refreshing the report in the Power BI Desktop makes the data pop up just like what is visible when running the report on the Report Server portal. Why is this happening? Why does a report that contains fresh data suddenly show old data? March 21th is about the date when i first deployed the report to the portal. Does downloading the report initiate a download of the report with old cached data? Report has not been changed since first deploy if that makes a difference. I have not redeployed the report to test if that fixes it as that would mean that to keep the report up to date in terms of data (when downloaded) we'd have to redeploy it every time it refreshes. I'm currently asking my users to use the report through the portal. It's not the end of the world but still a bit strange in my opinion. We're running Power BI Report Server Enterprise Edition March 2018. Any ideas? Thanks!Solved2.8KViews0likes2Comments
