Hi all I'm new at changing the appearance of the report server portal - call it first attempt... It's an ambition to create another order of the individiual folders in the 'FOLDERS'-area, even separation the folders into several 'FOLDERS'-areas, to achieve a sort by relevans, which I'm to decide. At the moment all folders are a mess (sorted alfabetically) and it is a pain even though there are 'only' 10 right now, but the count is expected to grow over time. Is this possible or am I way to ambitious? Br Søren905Views0likes2CommentsUsers getting error when accessing reports
Hi All, I am having some issues with users accessing reports that have been made that I'm hoping someone may have encountered or have an idea on what is going on. My organisation has a large number of reports within power bi which we control access through using user groups. These reports are for internal and external customers. Internal customers can see everything whilst external can only see certain ones. To make it easier for our internal customers to see what is available we have created an access point which has our branding and lays out our reports into certain groups. To access the reports we have buttons that use the URL of the report to redirect the user. What we are finding is that some people are getting error messages saying Unable to navigate to destination - this page may not exist of may not be a valid destination or Sorry, we couldn't find that report - it may have been deleted or you may not have access to view it. Everyone has the same level of access to the reports but these errors come up on random ones for random users. I've checked permissions, links etc and everythign is as it should be. If a user trys to access the report using the URL they can get in without issue (we have had one user who got in via the URL but then got locked out of the access point). Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?Solved3.4KViews0likes2Comments"Apply Filter" with "Enter" Button
Hello everyone, unfortunately with version PBIRS May 2020 in the portal in the filterpane of a report the "Enter" Button to apply filters if the filter is set to "advanced filtering" does not work anymore. The actual button "Apply Filter" has to be clicked every time a new filter is entered as text. Best regards, Alexander Korn1.2KViews0likes2CommentsEmbedded Report doesn't remove Header
We installed the newest Power BI Report Server Version 1.10.7698.27886(January 2021). If we activate the new Portal V2 Preview we have a problem with one of our Power BI Reports. This Report is Embedded in a Website from us with the URL Parameter rs:Embed=True. But under the new Portal V2 the Header won't be removed. Is this an Error in the new Portal or do I need to add other URL Parameters? I have already tried to add the Parameters rv:Toolbar=none and rv:HeaderArea=none but nothing helped.Solved1.3KViews0likes1CommentDeprecated REST API request slows down the portal drastically
Hello, I have a problem on my portal with the API request `/api/v.2.0/me`. I'm running my report server locally, and my portal is super slow (12 seconds for each page) I looked at the network, and the request for catalog items is done instantly. Then I discovered that SSRS is doing the /me request to see what my role is after giving me that data... The me request was the catalog items from showing. Also it says in the cookies that this request is deprecated. Is there/will there be a fix for this ? Thank you,Solved1.5KViews0likes2CommentsReport Server Admin Security issue
I have posted this in the Ideas section as well incase it is a bug, but i want to ask it here as well. If that is no allowed, ill remove this one. I am running an instance of Power Bi Report server on a server here with the following versions. Report server - Version 1.4.7024.16477 (January 2019) Sql Server 2017 I have found a scenario where if i remove a user's System Adminstrator access, they are still able to access the "Site Settings" section oif the portal, and from there, can see all the sections, General, Branding Schedules and Security sections. Most of the pages take steps to secure itself against this, for example even though the user can see Branding, it protects itself against the users by hiding all the buttons. For the Security section how ever, these users are able to access the page, and interact with it as if they had the System Adminstrator role. I have checked the Reporting Database for the dbo.UserRolePolicies table and it reflects what is shown through the UI, so the non-admin users in the Portal also do not show as an Admin in the database. Is there some system config issues i am missing or is the a bug with security in the portal itself?2KViews0likes3CommentsHome Page for different Reports
Hi friends, I have many models - each one has its own PowerBI file published to a on-prem Server. I would like to build a "Main Home page" that shows several visuals - each visual representing some chart or page from those other reports. I want it to be clickable, so when my user opens the Home page, she will see several charts and when she clicks one of them - it will open the relevant PowerBI report What is the best way to do it? Thanks! Michael785Views0likes1CommentHelp - Connection Refused
We've been running PBI Report Server for a few months utilizing the Web Portal for our users. All of a sudden, the web portal will not load. In chrome we get refused to connect (other browsers message that they cant find it. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED All services seem to start normally as well: We also see this message in IE troubleshooter: The odd thing is that nothing has changed with regard to the configuraiton. It just seems to have stopped working. We've tried reauthenticating and even had IT do a full restore to a few days prior to when it stopped working. We're dead in the water right now. Anyone have any ideas on where to look next?11KViews0likes4Comments
