Hello, we are using Power BI on-premises with the Power Report Server. There is no opportunity to use Power BI Service. I would like to create Power BI Datasets and use them for several Power BI Reports and also for Paginated Reports. Is this possible on-premises? Hi Power BI community, I need to install an on-premises Power BI Report Server in an environment without an internet connection. Is an internet connection required during the licens/key registration, or can the installation be carried out without any internet connection using the installation files? I have consulted the Microsoft documentation, which unfortunately doesn't mention the subject. Thanks a lot! Kind regards, JonSolved5.3KViews0likes5CommentsMany-to-Many Relationships for RLS in Power BI Desktop for Report Server / On-Premises
Dear Power BI Community, I have a data model in which each user (principal-username) may have several sub_ids (e.g. business units). The CEO for example has access to all business units, hence, his principal-username matches several sub_ids. In the fact sales table each transaction has a sub_id. Now I aim that when a user logs in, Power BI recognizes his principal username and he sees only the transactions that are in his sub_id. However, since Power BI Desktop for Report Server seems not to allow many-to-many relationships, I have absolutly no clue how to implement RLS. I appreaciate any kind of your help. Cheers RobSolved11KViews0likes2CommentsOn-Prem Report server User access + on-prem Sharepoint embed

I have built a Power BI report that is using WEB as datasource. The Web source is getting data from API that is running on Windows Credentials. Everything is fine in Power BI Desktop, establishing connection with API using Windows credential, showing data and refreshing report. However, If I upload PBI report on On-Premises Report Server, Authentication Type of PBI Report data source changed to "Anonymous". If I try to change Authentication type to Windows again it gives error "Couldn't connect The report server couldn't connect to the data source using the information you entered. Make sure you've entered the connection string and any credentials correctly. Hide error details Unable to connect to the remote server" I not am sure why authentication type changed from "Windows" to "Anonymous" after uploading and doesn't allow to change after that. Main objective is to configure "Scheduled Refresh" to refresh data. Please advise solution or suggest any alternative to "Scheduled Refresh" when Datasource is Web, Report is deployed on Power BI Server[On-Premises] and user is authenticated by Windows Credential.1KViews0likes3Comments
