Failed to update data source credentials: Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider.
I need help with this error. I contacted Microsoft Support, and they advised me to update my on-premise gateway (personal mode) that is on the virtual machine(VM). After updating it, all my reports started failing to refresh, showing a timeout error. Following their instructions, I logged into the gateway (personal mode) on my local PC. However, now the error has changed to: "Failed to update data source credentials: Unable to find the requested .NET Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed." I have already installed the .NET Framework at my local pc and added <DbProviderFactories> in machine.config within the Framework folder, but the issue still persists. Now, I want to switch the gateway (personal mode) back to the VM as the primary, but I can’t see the VM’s server name or device name. Instead, my local PC is listed as the primary, even though the VM server is already logged into the gateway. Thank you.Solved794Views0likes3Comments
