Hi, We have a report we have created using sql server connections and then tables created on the fly in Power BI. The business is now wanting to publish this report but aren't able to as the data needs to be converted to SQL. However, from what I can gather (and I am certainly no expert) as long as the data is coming via a direct query to connect to the tables then this should be able to be published. There are some tables that need to be looked at as the below error message shows when trying to load the report, but once these are sorted you should still be able to transform the data within Power BI? If someone could help that would be greatly appreicated as I don't want to have to create all these new tables in SQL if not needed. TIA
Unable to Connect: ODBC Database (Cloudera Hadoop Cluster)
Hello there, My team is working on a project that requires a PowerBI report connected to a daily updating data source from our internal Cloudera Hadoop database (Impala). I'm trying to set the refresh using the on-premise gateway but this is what I keep getting. We are using Kerberos as our authentication tool to connect the server. Any insights on what I may have done wrong that is causing the error? If it's the credential issue, which user name and passcode should I be using? My dsn looks like this and I'm able to load the data from the Hadoop server to PowerBI Desktop. Thank you, BillIdentify dataset refresh for on-premise
We are using gateways to our on-prem databases for our data sets. We have a generic user service account which has access to the servers for refresh. We have several workspaces in our Power BI service. Our reporting production server was running slow and our DBA determined that the Power BI User account was taking up a ton of resources for the mashup engine. It has now stopped, but I was trying to determine how to tell which data refresh was going on. Is there a way to determine this preferably across multiple workspaces?
