Salesforce Report Problem with lastest Power BI Update
Hi, I'm having an issue importing 3 salesforce reports into Power BI. Here are a few things to note: - problem started after I did a Power BI update a couple of weeks ago - I've been using these 3 salesforce reports to generate a dashboard for the last year with no problems - the salesforce report is pulling the right data. Verified by downloading the data into an excel file - power bi seems to be bringing in the wrong data and am not sure why - I also get the following error when importing data for one of the 3 reports OLE DB or ODBC error: Type mismatch. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020005 (DISP_E_TYPEMISMATCH)). Any ideas on what might be causing this problem? Thank you!
Paginated Reports, Not all variables bound
Greetings, I am working on a paginated report in Power BI Report Builder, and getting the attached error "A data source used by this report returned an error. An exception encountered while accessing the target data source ERROR [07001] [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01008: not all variables bound", screenshot shown below. I am using the ODBC(Preview) data source in Report Builder, with a simplified query structure like: SELECT * FROM <table_1> WHERE <field_1> BETWEEN :p_variable_1 AND :p_variable_2 AND (<field_2>= :p_variable_3 or <field_3>= :p_variable_3 or <field_4>= :p_variable_3 or <field_5>= :p_variable_3); If I remove the parameters and hard code the values, the query works fine. I am also able to run the query in SQL Developer without issues, and if I change the Data Source to "Oracle Database" the query also runs without issues. I had initally tried Publshing the paginated report with the Data Source sourse as Oracle Database, which runs on my local machine, but when published to the server I get "A data source used by this report returned an error. An exception encountered while creating the target data source Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed." (We have .NET Framework 4.5). It went on to specify Additional steps are required to view this report, which brought me to instructions on setting up and using ODBC, which I took to mean I can only use Paginated Reports with an ODBC Data Source. If that assumption is incorrect I am open to correction, whatever works. TL;DR - Trying to publish a paginated report in Power BI Report Builder using ODBC but encountering "ERROR [07001] [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01008: not all variables bound". Hello, we are currently encountering an issue regarding data in the "Direct Query" mode: Within the Slicer: If it's single selection, the visualization chart encounters the following error: [OLE DB or ODBC error: [Expression.Error] Unable to fold the expression to the data source, please try a simpler expression] (as shown in picture below). If it's multi-selection, the visualization chart displays correctly. May I ask what could be the cause of this issue?
How to Setup Multiple On-Prem Databases to Then Bring Data into Onelake
Hi there, I have just enabled the Fabric trial for my organisation and I am attempting to bring our clients data into Onelake to report off. I am very new to all this, hence looking for some guidance. This client has three sites (NZ,AU,US) and we support their on-prem ERP software. This software uses a Firebird database, therefore I am using the ODBC connector on each server. My questions are: 1. Do I need to RDP into each server, open Fabric through a browser and bring in the tables I need to Onelake via ODBC & connect the on-prem Gateway for LIVE refresh? 2. Once i've done this, can I then access all the data from my local PC within Powerbi desktop to create their reports? 3. Why does the OBDC connector bring in the data initally, then the on-prem application allow it to refresh live? What is the difference between these applications? I made this diagram just to get my head around it, can anyone tell me is this correct? If anyone has extra advice around this, it would be so greatly appreciated! Hello @, I've successfully created an ODBC connection for Hive data and was able to load the table without any issues. However, upon uploading it to the report server and attempting to authenticate the ODBC source using basic, Windows, or anonymous methods, none of them seem to work. The test connection fails consistently. "Couldn't connect The report server couldn't connect to the data source using the information you entered. Make sure you've entered the connection string and any credentials correctly. Hide error details Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct." The same credentials work for the data source of Folder type. After scheduling a refresh, I encountered the following error message: SessionID: 68ef0a40-21ca-4c2f-b9ea-86e55ad7e9c9 [0] -1055784932: The credentials provided for the Odbc source are invalid. (Source at dsn=URSAMajorUAT.). The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Could you please advise on what steps should be taken in such a case? My refresh works just fine in PowerBI desktop, no issues with queries on any tables, it's clearly connecting to the source ok, I'm not sure what I'm missing. I can refresh and save the updated file in desktop and the report data refreshes on server. I'm not sure how or why it can't find the table any more. Here's a snip of the connection structure if I'm creating a new source - the table being queried is called dSkillsetStat in the dbo folder
No data sources show up through ODBC for Report Builder ( Report Server version)
I'm trying to connect Report Builder(On-premise version for Report Server) to MySQL Database through ODBC. I followed this tutorial and finished setting up the MySQL Connector However, at the step 14, after selecting Use user or system data source name , no data source is shown, as below However, when I use Power BI desktop to connect, data sources are available after choosing ODBC Connection: It seems ODBC is set up successfully, but only Power BI Desktop can use it but not Report Builder?ODBC;ERROR [HY000] [Cloudera][ImpalaODBC] (120) Error while retrieving data from in Impala: []
I am trying to load the data from Impala using ODBC and using SQL query I am getting this error. There is no errors in SQL query . I have tried with both the versions like 32 bit and 64 bit its is showing me the same error. I have tried to increase the timeout time, cache size , number of retry also but unable to solve this issue . Please help to resolve the issue.
