Hi to everybody, For professional reasons, I must use Power BI Report Server Desktop in the October 2020 version. I had to change my computer and I have lost the .exe for this version. I am unable to find it in any repository. Could someone tell me where you can find this version or the May 2020 version so that I can further develop my work. Thanks in advance. Hi, We do have report server October 202 release. There are now cases where we create additional scheduled refreshes for existsing jobs or for new jobs, but there refreshes are not running as per schedule. Jobs are created in report server, but they do not run as per schedule. There are cases where old report had 2 refresh jobs and they are running okay, but once we added another one it does not run, but those two old ones keep on running okay.Solved572Views0likes1CommentPower BI Report Server October 2020 - content vanished completely
Hello Community, we published a report on the Power BI Report Server as usual and after that the report was also available normally. The next day, however, the entire content of the report (all tabs including all visuals) was gone. Also in Power BI Desktop all tabs were gone, only the data modeling was still there. So far, the problem only occurred when using Power BI via a remote desktop, locally the problem has not occurred yet. We are using the Power BI Report Server version October 2020. Is anyone aware of this problem? Kind regards NiHi737Views0likes1CommentFailed to publish - UnknownCallsite
We've upgraded to October 2020 release of Report Server and we're getting a number of bugs. An existing report is failing to be over written or published as a new file. The error is. The given data source kind is not supported. Data source kind: UnknownCallsite. This release appears a bit buggy especially with the enhanced metadata.1.8KViews0likes2CommentsPower BI Report Server (Oct 2020) changes "changed by" date before modification
Given a Power BI dashboard on Power BI Report Server with a direct query connection to an analysis service cube. Each invokement of manage in the browser leads to a change in the "changed by" date just before any modification takes place. This does not happen with import queries. Can anyone verify this or give a hint how to prevent this?2.3KViews0likes4CommentsOct 2020 Memory problem - Number of Mashup containers
Hi, We have 2 test servers. One running PBIRS October 2020 (latest build) and one running May 2020. We are seeing a difference on the amount of RAM used and the number of active Machup containers (Microsoft.Mashup.Container.NetFX40.exe) in use while doing schedule refresh on the same report. The server takes some more memory and uses ¨18 Mashup containers on Oct 2020 version while only using 6 Mashup containers on May version. The PBRS service also crashes on oct 2020 when running schedule refresh on this report. Both servers has 32 GB RAM and 4 logical cores of the same type (Xeon E5-2697). Is this a configuration?? Is this a known issue in PBIRS oct 2020? Oct 2020: May 2020:1.2KViews0likes3Commentspbirs, October 2020, site settings / general / Apply gives "an error has occurred"
Hi, I just upgrdaed PBIRS to October 2020. So far everything seems to be fine except when I (as System Administrator) try to change something e.g. name, in "site settings / general" I get "an error has occurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later." Any ideas? Which Logfile may give me further information about this error? BR, ChristophSolved2KViews1like5Comments
