We migrated to Fabric and replaced almost all our ADF Pipelines with notebooks and haven’t looked back. Should you do the same? This session is a look at how and why you can move from a Pipeline centric ETL architecture to a notebook centric ETL for data warehousing. We compare performance, extensibility, developer experience and supportability between the two tools to see which comes out on top. Event 3 - Microsoft Fabric User Group Pune DP-600 Exam Prep: Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse and Notebooks Most Power BI developers know the report layer cold. But the DP-600 exam - and real-world Fabric implementations - demand something more: a deep understanding of how data lands, transforms, and gets served from the platform beneath your reports. This session is built for practitioners preparing for the Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) certification who want to go beyond theory and understand how Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Notebooks fit together in a production Fabric architecture. What we will cover: Fabric Lakehouse - OneLake architecture, Delta Lake format, shortcuts, and how Lakehouse underpins the entire Fabric data platform Fabric Data Warehouse - When to choose Warehouse over Lakehouse, T-SQL capabilities, cross-database queries, and warehouse-to-semantic model patterns Fabric Notebooks - PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python in Fabric notebooks, Delta table operations, and how notebooks connect to Lakehouse as a data engineering tool Lakehouse vs. Warehouse - Decision Framework - The real architectural question every DP-600 candidate needs to answer confidently This session is best suited for you if: You are preparing for the DP-600 Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer exam You work in Power BI and want to understand the Fabric data layer beneath semantic models You are a data engineer or BI developer exploring Microsoft Fabric for the first time You want a practical, architecture-first walkthrough - not just a slide-by-slide exam dump Intermediate session - basic familiarity with Power BI or SQL is expected. Hi, I am trying to install sf package in an R notebook in Fabric. 1: In func(...) : installation of package ‘units’ had non-zero exit status 2: In func(...) : installation of package ‘sf’ had non-zero exit status I have tried both add it to the workspace and installing using install.packages in session. The issue is that SF uses the package units as a dependence, and when it tries to install units but it trows an error saying that libudunits2 was not found. Is there a way to add libudunits2 to fabric? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Configuration failed because libudunits2.so was not found. Try installing: * deb: libudunits2-dev (Debian, Ubuntu, ...) * rpm: udunits2-devel (Fedora, EPEL, ...) * brew: udunits (OSX) If udunits2 is already installed in a non-standard location, use: --configure-args='--with-udunits2-lib=/usr/local/lib' if the library was not found, and/or: --configure-args='--with-udunits2-include=/usr/include/udunits2' if the header was not found, replacing paths with appropriate values. You can alternatively set UDUNITS2_INCLUDE and UDUNITS2_LIBS manually. Thank you!2KViews0likes0Comments
