Build a Donut chart with different area size by Power BI report Builder
Hi Team, we want to builder a Donut Chart with differeny area size in different series and show the label line between chart and label. somthing like the following, do you have any ideas? Also I want the Type name color in black and value information with the color same as the chart.
Card visual is showing blank but matrix is showing value in power bi
Hi i have a card visual and a matrix visual, along with that i have a date slicer (between). scenario: when the date slicer changes the value in the card and well as matrix gets adjusted to the last date in the date slicer. matrix has categories(category column) as a row. Card visual is showing the over all values without the category. problem: for few dates, there are few category missing. When i slelect those dates , card visual does blank, but matrix visual shows value for which the category is present for that day and blank for the category which is not present for the day, shown below. Card visual should show values of 3 of the above category but it just showing blank. Below is the calculation measure for card visual: please give me a solution
embedded paginated report with parameters doesnt work
Hi Everyone... I have the same issue that my paginated report not updating . the paginated report works fine by itself. I have two parameters one is date where the default and available values are set to none and other is text where default values and available values are from query. I have no idea how i can change these settings to make it work in my power bi desktop. the below selection has 4 values which my power bi report shows but my paginated report shows 0 values Kindly help
Running Total from Current Month Onwards
Hi Everyone, I am trying to compute running total of outbound quantity with additional conditions: Cumulative quantity starting from the first date of current month up to any dates in the future Filter context on date is expected to be from March 1st up to June 30th, 2024. I have tested with 2 measures below and they still haven't met the business requirements. The former here is adding up cumulative quantity way back to December 2022, and this is indeed not what we are after: Outbound RT = VAR MaxDate = MAX ( 'DATE'[Date] ) RETURN CALCULATE ( [Outbound], 'DATE'[Date] <= MaxDate, ALL ( 'DATE' ) ) Whereas, this is starting to add up cumulative quantity from "Today" onwards, meaning that any outbound before current date are not factored in as part of calculation: Outbound RT 2 = VAR MaxDate = MAX ( 'DATE'[Date] ) RETURN CALCULATE ( [Outbound], 'DATE'[Date] <= MaxDate && 'DATE'[Date] >= TODAY(), ALL ( 'DATE' ) ) Expected Results: DAX code that starts computing from the first day of current month (March in this stance) onwards to any future dates. The code should add up cumulative quantity starting from March 1st, 2024. Is there anyone who can guide me through? Thank you so much!
Query about Licensing for Our Custom Visual - Seeking Clarity!

We have recently come across a fantastic custom visual that we believe would greatly enhance our reporting capabilities, and we're excited to explore the possibilities it offers. However, we find ourselves in a bit of a licensing dilemma and are seeking some guidance from our knowledgeable community. Here's the situation: We have identified a custom visual that we are keen on purchasing, but we're uncertain about how the licensing works. We currently have five users within our organization who are interested in using this custom visual. To ensure a smooth and cost-effective process, we have some important questions regarding the licensing structure: Pay Per User or Tenant's Administrator Account? We're curious if the licensing for this custom visual requires us to pay per user, or if it's possible to use a tenant account to purchase the license. What would be the most practical and cost-effective approach? Sharing the Visual: Once we acquire the licenses, we intend to create and publish reports to Power BI service for our users to access. How does the licensing affect sharing these reports? Are there any restrictions or considerations we should be aware of? . Hi Guys, I really need some expertise on this! Currently we have lots of reports that were built in SSRS with data from SCCM . We are looking to migrate most of the SSRS reports into Power BI for a unified view. Here are some of the solutions proposed to us and we have tried.: -Export RDL files from SSRS into PBI Service (Correct me if i am wrong, I believe this is too manual as, data needs to be uploaded all the time) -Integrate SCCM with Power Bi Report Server (Following the link below, we tried following the steps below, but unintentionally the current SSRS report started to fail as we deleted SSRS) Easily Integrate SCCM with Power BI Report Server (prajwaldesai.com) Also what would be the difference between the 2 solutions proposed above? Ideally we are looking to automate the whole process in a safe and secure way!
Default selection of the most recent date in Power BI slicer after dataset refresh
Hello All, I've a date dropdown filter (with single selection) and I want to set its default value to the most recent date after every refresh. I've researched a lot about this but couldn't find any perfect fit, I've tried below code as well Date 2 = IF('Table'[Date] = MAX('Table'[Date]), "Recent Date", FORMAT('Table'[Date], "MM-DD-YYYY")) but the problem is I don't want a plan text "Recent Date", so I tried to append Recent Date as text along with the text "Recent Date" e.g., "Recent Date 04/04/2023" but in that case after refresh I got 2 values (Previous latest date and the current one after refresh) and so I've to again manually change the date from the dropdown, see below for reference.
