I am experiencing a rendering issue with the legacy Bubble Map visual (green globe icon) in the Power BI Government cloud (app.powerbigov.us). Environment Power BI Government Service (app.powerbigov.us) Report published to Service Legacy Bubble Map visual Large transit dataset with latitude/longitude timepoints Same PBIX and dataset have been functioning for months Current Behavior When viewing the published report from a desktop browser: Google Chrome: Bubble map does not render Microsoft Edge: Bubble map does not render Mozilla Firefox: Bubble map does not render In some cases, the visual displays: "Too many 'Longitude' values. Not displaying all data. Filter the data or choose another field." Other times, the map simply remains blank. Unexpected Findings The exact same published report renders correctly on a mobile phone browser. In addition: Power BI Desktop renders the visual correctly. Mobile browser renders correctly. Desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) consistently fail. The issue persists even after installing Firefox to eliminate Chromium-specific concerns. Data Volume The report contains transit timepoint data and can exceed one million records when multiple months are selected. However: This volume previously rendered successfully in the Service. The same volume currently renders successfully in Power BI Desktop. The same volume currently renders successfully on mobile browsers. This suggests the issue is not with the dataset itself. Questions Have there been recent changes to map rendering limits or behavior in Power BI Government cloud? Has the transition from Bing Maps to Azure Maps affected the legacy Bubble Map visual? Is the desktop web experience using a different rendering path than the mobile experience? Are there known regressions affecting map visuals in app.powerbigov.us? Based on testing, this appears to be a Service-side rendering issue specific to desktop web browsers rather than a data, browser, or PBIX problem.161Views0likes0CommentsAdd option to remove the "Go back" button in Power BI Apps - Or at least call it: "Power BI Home"
A huge range of app use cases don’t involve the Power BI homepage at all, so why do we need a button that takes you “back” there? In my own tenant, only a small percent of users ever discover the button — and when they do, it usually causes confusion. Most of our audience comes in through our company intranet or a saved bookmark directly to the app. Hitting “Go back” takes them somewhere unfamiliar (Power BI home) and disrupts their workflow. This could be fixed with one of two approaches: Let admins remove or hide the button entirely Or at least rename it to something clearer like “Power BI Home” so expectations match what it does Either way, making this change would help avoid confusion and keep users focused on the content that matters most: the app itself.910Views14likes0Commentsauthenticator wont trigger after purchase of new phone
hi, after purchase of a new phone, the authenticator for userid db042190 wont trigger when apps like this forum show a code. everything imagineable has been attempted so far including resetting the pswd for that user's tenant in the azure portal, (re?) enabling authenticator in that portal which seemed to be turned off, looking for an option (but not finding) an "auth method" other than email or sms etc etc to that user. a ticket was opened with MS #2505200040006038. Praveen at MS promised to get back to me and address the issue back around the 22nd but didnt even get back to me. this is very stressful for a number of reasons. i really didnt have an appropriate choice for "label" , i apologize for that but have nowhere to turn.828Views0likes1CommentMobile Layout - Background stay in White color after Interactive Update
Dear all, Recently the mobile layout is updated with interactive function, however the background of the mobile layout now stays in White color regardless what canvas color or wallpaper you choose in Power BI Desktop view. I have tried on few different PCs and Pbix files they all return the same white background issues since all my reports are in Black background with white font. Would be gladful if this is verified as a bug and can be fixed as we are unable to publish the report now as it will ruin the mobile layout view of users. I have created an Inventory Reconciliation report that includes a Year slicer. The report's main visual is a matrix with the following rows: Opening Inventory Purchases Sales Closing Inventory (Calculated) On-Hand Quantity The Closing Inventory (Calculated) is determined using this formula: Closing Inventory (Calculated) = Opening Inventory + Purchases - Sales The matrix has Months set on the Columns. For example, if the year 2023 is selected: January’s Opening Inventory is calculated using the following DAX formula: Opening Inventory (Q) = CALCULATE( [On-Hand Qty], PREVIOUSMONTH('Calendar (On-Hand)'[Dates]) ) For February, the Opening Inventory should use January’s Closing Inventory (Calculated) or the previous month's Closing Inventory. Currently, the Opening Inventory row uses its formula to calculate results, which might lead to inconsistencies. I believe the Opening Inventory should instead depend on the Closing Inventory (Calculated) from the previous month. What would be your solution?Solved1.4KViews0likes4CommentsTroubleshooting Missing Labels in Clustered Column Charts for Expiry Reports
Hello, In my Expiry Report, I have a Clustered Column Chart where some dates are shown in the "Month & Year" format. While the bars/columns are correctly displayed, the labels are missing beneath them. How can I ensure all labels are displayed? A sample image is attached. Dear all, Could you please implement a different color for users which are "in a call/meeting" and users which are "busy". The topics are completely different. To contact someone who is "in a meeting" is a "no-go" but if someone is busy e.g. for closure and urgent topics are appreciated that is a complete different story. Sometimes we do not have "enough" (what can I say) connection that ONLY the color is showing up with NO information if the user is in a call or busy. Please, please that is really and urgently needed. Thank you very, very much for your investigation. Regards PS: work around in a company with 5 digit employees is not an opportunity.734Views0likes2CommentsMobile App Redirecting to Web Version of Report
Hello Community, I’m currently working with Power BI and have encountered an issue related to report navigation on mobile devices. I have two reports: Report 1 Report 2 In Report 1, I have a button that redirects to Report 2 using a URL. The issue arises when I use the Power BI mobile app: the URL opens Report 2 in the web version format instead of the mobile-optimized view. I’ve ensured that Report 2 is designed with the Phone Layout feature in Power BI Desktop, but it still doesn’t render correctly in the mobile app. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or can you provide any advice on how to ensure the mobile app opens the report in a mobile-friendly format? Thank you for your help!Solved1.8KViews0likes5CommentsRegistering NFC-tag functionality not working with mobile app
