Licence renewals are looming and in the current economic climate organisations are looking to save money. Power BI is not only a lot cheaper than other BI tools, it’s a better tool overall and since Microsoft continues to make big investments in it then migration is clearly a no-brainer." This talk is about what to watch out for when it comes to migration to Power BI from legacy BI tools.950Views0likes1CommentPower BI, Excel and Paginated Reports – better together!

The current senario: Have Power BI Reports on the Report Server that are configured to be accessible/ viewable via three different Dashboards using Share Point as the interface. Each Dashboard and reports residing are controlled by permissions set at the AD level and in Share Point. Looking for ideas on how to transition the reports to Power BI Premium (via Service). Is it possible to create sub workspaces with different permissions? Design ideas of the Interface would be welcome. Thank you.1KViews0likes4CommentsNew User Group & Announcement of the SSRS/PBIRS Migration Tool to Power BI

Hello - this is more of a general question for migrations. We have an instance of Power BI Report Server (May 2020) running on an older server that I'm moving to a VM. I'm at the point where I'm installing Power BI Report Server on the VM. Do the report server versions have to match or can I just install the latest?Solved583Views0likes1Comment
