Help with Power BI Report Server Upgrade to May 2024 Version (Upgrade Option Missing in Wizard)
Hello, I am seeking guidance on how to upgrade my Power BI Report Server to the latest May 2024 version. Currently, I am on the September 2023 version, and my license is under a Software Assurance (SA) contract for SQL Server Enterprise. I have been updating Power BI Report Server for several years without any issues, but this time, when I start the installer, the "Upgrade" option does not appear in the installation wizard. I have reviewed the available documentation but cannot find a solution. Specifically, I tried to look for the January 2024 version on the Microsoft download platform, but it is not available. I am assuming that it might be necessary to update to an intermediate version before May 2024 for the upgrade option to be enabled. Effect after update version May 2024
After updating our Power BI Server and Power BI Designer in May 2024, we encountered an error when attempting to direct query from the SQL Server Database. What could be wrong with this version? How can we fix this error? Currently, we can only import data and cannot use direct query. Thank you for your help.
