How can i get http log from report server? I added the snippet below to the configuration files, but the log didn't show up. I've restarted the services too. Files: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server\PBIRS\ReportServer\bin\ReportingServicesService.exe.config C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS13.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin\ReportingServicesService.exe.config <RStrace> <add name="FileName" value="ReportServerService_" /> <add name="FileSizeLimitMb" value="32" /> <add name="KeepFilesForDays" value="14" /> <add name="Prefix" value="tid, time" /> <add name="TraceListeners" value="debugwindow, file" /> <add name="TraceFileMode" value="unique" /> <add name="HttpTraceFileName" value="ReportServerService_HTTP_" /> <add name="HttpTraceSwitches" value="date,time,clientip,username,serverip,serverport,host,method,uristem,uriquery,protocolstatus,bytesreceived,timetaken,protocolversion,useragent,cookiereceived,cookiesent,referrer" /> <add name="Components" value="all:3,http:4" /> </RStrace>Solved4.1KViews0likes4CommentsIs there any routine to clean up the ExecutionLogStorage table?
Hi, I verified that the ExecutionLogStorage table is being cleared on the server, not showing all log history. I would like to know if there is any routine responsible for this, and if this can be configured.Solved3.3KViews0likes2CommentsReportServerTempDB.dbo.ContentCache
We upgraded our existing SSRS to PBIX by restoring our 2014 ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB on the new SQL 2017 instance and then installed Power BI server and shut down the SSRS server. Al the reports run just fine but my log file is filled with this error: library!WindowsService_0!8b00!07/16/2018-16:51:19:: i INFO: Call to CleanBatch() library!WindowsService_0!8b00!07/16/2018-16:51:19:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ReportServerStorageException: , An error occurred within the report server database. Any searches on 'ReportServerTempDB.dbo.ContentCache' just bring back posts related to Novell I don't see anything named ContentCache in either database, nor do I see anything name CleanBatch. Any sugesstions would be wonderful.4.5KViews0likes4CommentsHow to determine who is exporting data from a Power BI Report Server Report?
Is there a way to identfy who is exporting data from a Power BI report using any logs? In SSRS the ExecutionLog table clearly showed this but Power BI Report Server logs don't seem to show anything useful. We don't want to disable ability to export but we don't want our users to use the reports/dashboards as a data dumping tool and prepare offline reports based on that given the whole idea of building the reports/dashboards was to avoid having different versions being created by different people. We therefore want to determine who is exporting often and reach out to such users to understand why they are exporting and provide a better online solution instead.777Views0likes0CommentsFinding details on errors from paginated report subscription runs in PBIRS
Posting this in case it's helpful to others. I have a paginated report in PBIRS, and I have a data-driven subscription on that report. When the subscription ran, I got "Done: 5 processed of 5 total; 5 errors." I could find details on these 5 errors. I looked in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server\PBIRS\LogFiles and sorted by Date modified descending. I looked in the RSPowerBI_*, RSPortal_*, RSHostingService_*, and RSOffice_* files because those were up top. I eventually found my errors in ReportingServicesService_* which had a date modified *before* the subscription ran, but the log had the errors I was looking for. I suppose the log file had not been flushed until I attempted to open it, thus the date modified had not changed. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server\PBIRS\LogFiles\ReportingServicesService_[date].txt is the file that contains your subscription errors.2KViews2likes0Comments
