Live performance dashboard.
Hi guys I posted my question about two weeks but sadly no one replied so I am trying again now here... I'm trying to create live dashboard on BI and I have data split by 1 hour buckets and i would like to show yoy performance along with last year's YoY pwerformance . therefore there is data for 2016, 2015 and 2014 for three different hotels. Currently I am using data from an excel but once I have created my dash I will connect live. 1 . I am not sure how I can get power bi to look at only like for like time bucket throughout the day when calculating yoy growths. I know I can use same priod last year function but that doesn't do it for like for like time. 2. I have three year's data but the function I am aware of is calculate([Total Revenue], samepriodlastyear([dateextracted])). but I am not sure how do I split all three years from total revenue and then create 3 bars on chart to show (for 2014, 2015 and 2016). then add yoy growths for current and last year. 3. I have saparated timestamp into date, time_buckets for 2 hours but when I drop the hour bucket into h-axis, it doesn't work. Need help with DAX formula
I am having difficulty in finding out correct way of displaying the below output. I have a table containing columns such as - Contract Name, Contract Start date, Contract end date, Total amount of contract, Status. The output i want to achieve is a bar chart of each month to see which contracts are Live or expired. But each month should carry a total value of contract NOT the allocated value of contract according to number of days in between the start & end date. Hence, the output: In July-21, the Con-04 & Con-06 is Live whereas Con-02 & Con-07 is Expired in last 3 months. I want to show Live & expired contracts on each month bar. How can i achieve this?
