Hello ! I am trying to fill in field wtih parameter in Power BI server. In service it works like ?rp:<some parameter>=xxx But for server it is not working. My link in Power BI server looks like http://powerbi.piece.net/Reports/report/Production/backward_traceability And I need to put only one parameter BC. Idea is to go from other report directly by creation link. Only way I found it is use ssrs link, which I can create by data feed in load menu. I belive there is more beautifull way to do it2.1KViews0likes7CommentsOn-prem Report Server - Ability to 'Create linked report' Like in SSRS
Hi All, For security reasons, my firm is using the report server on-prem, and I noticed that there does not seem to be the ability to 'Create a linked report' in the report server like SSRS had. Please see screenshots below. Our plan was to keep reports in a centralized location, and link reports to other directories as needed. For example, someone in an HR department and Finance department may need access to the same report, so a link is placed in both the HR and Finance folder that points back to the report that was created and stored in a directory called Reports. Any idea on if this kind of thing is feasible in the report server? Also happy to hear alternatives to approaching this. Security and maintence of reports are most important to consider. Hello, My organization is using PowerBI via an application that also hosts SSRS reports; currently Power BI September 2021 update is in place. There is a problem that is occurring with SSRS linked reports. When attempting to set default parameters for a linked report, PBIRS will not allow you to "Apply" the changes if there are any date/time parameters on the report UNLESS you set values for those date/time parameters. The message "A valid datetime value is required" appears, even if the RDL in question does not mark these parameters as required in its design. In previous versions of SSRS, this was not necessary. Is this fixed in a later version? Or is this a bug.Solved2KViews0likes3CommentsUnable to subscribe to a linked paginated report
Hi PBI folks, We're experimenting with PBI SSRS (the January 2019 version) and it's pretty nice so far. We have hundreds of existing paginated reports that, over time, will probably be recreated as Power BI reports. I connected my instance of PBI SSRS to a copy of my production SSRS database to make sure all of the existing non-PBI functionality works. The one thing I don't see when clicking on the ellipsis next to a linked paginated report is the ability to create an email or file system subscription to the report. I can subscribe to a paginated report. Is this functionality that hasn't been implemented yet in the PBI version of SSRS? Thanks in advance, - JeffSolved1KViews0likes2Comments
