Hi Guys, We've update our PBI RS version from a very old Oct 2017 to the pretty new Jan2020 and our customers are suffering of an issue of invalid cache that make difficult for them to correctly load the existing Dashboards without hard refreshing their browser cache. Is there any solution server side (on the PBI RS) we can do to fix this issue for all our customers in order to avoid having to inform each one about this unpleasant clear of cache? I would like not to have to downgrade the version, but in case let me know the closed version that doesn't have this issue please.931Views0likes2CommentsError with query parameters (from shared datasets) after upgrading to January 2020 PBIRS
Hi After upgrading to the January 2020 version of Power BI Report Server some of the reports failed with this error. An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) The execution failed for the shared data set 'DS1'. (rsDataSetExecutionError) The execution failed for the shared data set 'DS2'. (rsDataSetExecutionError) The execution failed for the shared data set 'DS3'. (rsDataSetExecutionError) Query execution failed for dataset 'DS4'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand) Incorrect syntax near 's'. The last line of the error is the interesting one. After doing a trace on the sql server while running the report I found that the query from the ReportData dataset had an additional letter added to the query at the end one of the predicates. This part of the query then looks like: and m.Column1 in (N'Value1',N'Value2's) If only a single parameter value is selected the additional s is not added and the report runs just fine. The parameter values are coming from shared datasets. Has anybody else experienced anything like this and do you have a solution/workaround (other than the obvious, rollback to the previous version of PBIRS)? Hello folks after upgrading our report server to the latest version we are having issues with our access database data sources. Everything works fine in the desktop version but scheduled jobs on the report server leading to not comprehensible values. Does anybody have an idea what the reason for that may be... Thank you in advance! Andreas614Views0likes0CommentsIFRAME refused after update til January 2020 version of Power BI Report server
We have some IFRAMED reports from our onprem Power BI reportserver in some inhouse developed IIS sites and in some pages in our SharePoint 2019 Onprem instance. After we upgraded our Power BI report server to January 2020 we are getting a result where it states "This Content cannot be displayed in an frame" Sample of our iframe source where we utilize the rs:embed=true attribute on the URL. Specific for just these purposes. Anyone with an idea?
