Export paginated report to excel with hyperlink and large amount of records
Hello everyone since the last (second release) update of power bi report server (may 2024), and after the issue with image solved (see https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Report-Server/Export-paginated-report-to-excel-with-image/m-p/3996645) we are facing another anoying issue. after exporting excel (with a large amount of record or excel size) we have another kind of error: the same report with a parameter that returns less records is correctly exported, and hyperlink are working. but with a parameter which returns a lot of records (about 40 k), we got the above message report is composed of a simple tablix, with some cells containing hyperlink in browser view, all works fine, and hyperlink are working. but after exporting to excel, it "crash" Any suggestions on how to get around this. regards,
Power BI Visual hyperlink with parameters to display content in another visual
I'm wondering if it's possible to have a value in a table visual by a hyperlink with dynamic parameters that will populate another table visual when clicked? For example, table 1 has colums of "item desc", "date", "qty sold", "qty returned" with rows of "pink bikes", "2022-08", "5", "3"; "pink bikes", "2022-07", "8", "1"; "blue bikes", "2022-08", "18", "2". When the second row , column "qty sold" of "pink bikes" is clicked, table 2 visual would display the customers who bought pink bikes in July of 2022. But, if they click second row, column "qty returned", table 2 visual would display the customers who returned pink bikes in July of 2022. The first table is rolled up within the underlying sql, so I'd need to pull from a separate underlying data table with the information. Any ideas on how to do this? I have a text field that I want to make a hyperlink using a URL from another field. Seems to work fine in a local desktop workbook but Power BI won't let me select a field to use as a hyperlink in a report published to the Power BI Server. Following these directions, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/power-bi-hyperlinks-in-tables#format-link-text-as-a-hyperlink we've made sure that Data is in a Table we are using a version later that Feb 2020 (Sept 2021 to be exact) the URL column is "Uncategorized" in Data Catagory. But still nothing. Is this another one of those things that can't be done with Direct Query or a report publised to the server or something? Doesn't seem like it should be. I get to where you add the Web URL and is just won't let me select the field with the URL in it.
