Cannot connect to MySQL database
Hi, I'm having a problem connecting Power BI to a MySQL DB. I'm connecting to localhost and then select the database 'monitore_perfileducacion'. I don't know why but this error comes up when it appears everything's alright. And if I try to connect to the IP that appears at the workbench connections in MySQL it doesn't work. How can I fix this? I tried everything in almost every available post. DataSource.Error: MySQL: Authentication to host 'localhost' for user 'root' using method 'caching_sha2_password' failed with message: Unknown database 'monitore_perfileducacion' Details: DataSourceKind=MySql DataSourcePath=localhost;monitore_perfileducacion Message=Authentication to host 'localhost' for user 'root' using method 'caching_sha2_password' failed with message: Unknown database 'monitore_perfileducacion' ErrorCode=-2147467259 The screen looks like this, and if I press refresh in the preview, the error is shown. Thing is, the connection is alright in MySQL.
Issue - Update Data Source Credentials through REST API failed for Web Source
I was trying to update the data source credentials through REST API (https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/gateways/{gatewayId}/datasources/{datasourceId}) for a PBI report whose data source tpye is "Web" and it is from a CSV file on SharePoint site. I chose "OAuth2" as credential type in the body but got errors as below: It says the credentials for the web source are invalid. However I used the same credential type and same token for another PBI report (data source type is "SharePoint List" and they are pointing to the same sharepoint site), and the REST API call was made successfully. Could anyone tell me what's missing during this operation for the websource or is there anything I can do to make the call succeed.Automatic data refresh for Power BI embedded
Hi, I have implemented Power BI embedded in a web app and used the Python script to import the on-premises data to the Power BI. I use the power BI embedded generated sample .NET file without Channing anything. Question: Can we do the data automatically refresh without using the on-premises data gateway (personal mode) in the above embedded option? Can explain how to implement the automatic data refresh for Power BI embedded?
[Data Fabric] Dataflow Gen2 Error: Unable to Retrieve Data from Oracle for Large Date Range
Hello everyone, I'm running some tests with Data Fabric to retrieve data from Oracle and send it to the Lakehouse. I subscribed to the F2 license for testing purposes. Essentially, I create a Dataflow Gen2 pipeline to fetch a sales table from Oracle. This table has 200 million records and is over 120GB in size. In my pipeline, when I set a filter to retrieve only 1 day of data from the table, the pipeline works fine. However, when I increase the filter to retrieve 1 month of data, it throws an error. The errors I receive are: - There was a problem refreshing the dataflow. Please review the error message(s) below, fix the problem, and try again. (Request ID: d4f7561f-b5ad-4fe1-a3ac-4ed534a59292). -Error Code: Challenge Error, Error Details: Data source credentials are missing or invalid. Please update the connection credentials in settings, and try again. (Request ID: d4f7561f-b5ad-4fe1-a3ac-4ed534a59292). The gateway I'm using is the On-premises data gateway version 3000.178.9 (June/23).
