gateway connections
6 TopicsFailed to publish Power BI Report (DirectQuery + Gateway)
The issue: 1. When I'm attempting to publish the .pbix file (data load with direct query) through the Azure DevOps pipeline, the Power BI Service returns a BadRequest error. This error occurs even after updating the SQL Server and database parameters to the client’s specified gateway-compatible values. 2. I also notice that, the .pbix still reference the on-prem servers that I used to test locally, they exist in the data models. The thing is I cannot connect to client's SQL server from my device, so PowerBI desktop throws error that wouldn't let me apply the changes, save without apply didn't work. The old connections remain in the file. I tried with one BI report, where I change all the direct query into import mode, then it works and successfully published. But I'd better keep the direct query bc in some reports the dataset can be very large. Is there any way that I can update the Sql server / database parameters withouth actually connecting? Thank you for your time and attention.Solved2.5KViews0likes7CommentsData Source Connection Issue
Hi there. This is going to be a hard one to troubleshoot but here goes. My company has 2 process accounts that had a password change over the weekend. I have them configured in ODBC manager 64 bit and the new passwords test successfully. I then proceeded to update the passwords in the 3 dashboards that I have and refresh the data to ensure the new passwords work and the refresh is successful. However, when I publish all 3 dashboards back to the PBI server and try to refresh from there, I get a data source error - shown below. I also check the gateway settings and see the below. In my data source credentials, I see the below. I did refresh the gateway and the screen states it is online and ready to be used. I don't know what to do from here. I also tried the troubleshooting docs for PBI to no avail. Help! Thanks, LB624Views0likes2CommentsGateway com banco de dados

Hello, I am having a connection issue with personal Gateway to our client database. One of our client stored their data in their database, and we managed their reporting through Power BI. Our client has created a credential and also added our IP address to whitelist to make sure we can access their data through Power BI. It worked on PBIX file and we can also refresh the data on desktop. But we want to automate the refreshing on Power BI service. So we have created a personal gateway (On Promise), but it pop up an error message when we try to connect. We have used the same credential as we used in Desktop PBIX file. It's not working through Gateway. Does anyone has the same experience? Is there any suggestion? Thank you in advance. Percy795Views0likes2CommentsSharepoint Gateway
When I review the Dataset Settings -> Gateway Connections, it shows the gateway or datasources are not reachable. The Auto Refresh and Manual Refresh is working perfectly. Why won't my Sharepoint Gateway resolve to allow me to select it from the dropdown. I am having this same issue in multiple workspaces on multiple datasets that share this source.Solved8.7KViews0likes5Comments
