5 TopicsSpecific Filtering in a Gannt Chart Based Off Parent Level
I am wanting to be able to filter differently for each different Project, at the parent level. If I select Project1 in a slicer, I only want certain Task items to appear at the task level for that project in the Gantt Chart. I do not need all tasks to show up on the chart. For example, in Project1, there are Tasks 1-9. I only want Tasks 2,4,6 to show up on the chart. Now, if I would switch to Project2, I want the related task items to show up in the Gantt Chart based off the filter specific to Project2. For example, Project2 has Tasks 1-15. I want Tasks 1,3,6,7,8 to show up on the Gantt. The task level items for Project1 and Project2 are not the same and cannot have the same filters applied to them. I do not want the same task numbers to show up on the Gantt chart each time I switch to a different project. Is there a DAX code that will filter tasks based off the Project that has been selected? I was wondering if an IF statement or a SWITCH statement and paired with a FILTER statement, if any of those would work?517Views0likes1CommentSchedule, Gantt
Hi, I need some Help, I use Excel to create a schedule, like a Gantt Chart, Imagen: I use this formula to calculate de cells : =SE(MÍNIMO($AB$1-SOMA(AD$8:AD19),$Z20-SOMA($AB20:AC20))=0,"",MÍNIMO($AB$1-SOMA(AD$8:AD19),$Z20-SOMA($AB20:AC20))) SE = IF Mínimo = Min Soma = Sum I need to do the same schedule on power BI. I dont have StarDate and EndDate. it´s need to calculate a daily production of 15000 units, from the current day, when the 15000 closes, needs to switch to the next day with the balance of the previous day and count another 15000.1.3KViews0likes4CommentsRemove blank childs in a Gantt chart with parent-child hierarchy
I cannot figure out a way to set up a Gantt chart that shows the full hierarchy (project - lv1, story - lv2, task - lv3), without showing blank childs (or default childs, parent as child). In my hierarchy, some stories (level 2) may not have child tasks, therefore the column "Task - LV3", calculated using PATHITEM, is empty. I am using the Gantt Chart by MAQ Software. I have created a filter measure that, if placed in a matrix with the same dimensions, only shows childs if a parent have some: Remove Blanks = SWITCH(TRUE(),AND(ISINSCOPE(Table[Level2]), ISBLANK(VALUES(Table[Level2]))), BLANK(), AND(ISINSCOPE(Table[Level3]), ISBLANK(VALUES(Table[Level3]))), BLANK(),1) However, I cannot find a way to make it work in the Gantt Chart. If I try to use it as a filter, it will only shows full hierarchies, namely items that have lv1 & lv2 & lv3, therefore losing all the stories (lv2) and projects (lv1) that do not have tasks (lv3). Can someone help? Thanks591Views0likes0CommentsShow summary in table based on selected value in Gantt Chart (by making use of a measure)
Hi, I have a Gantt chart and would like to show more information when someone clicks on one of the bars in the chart. The bars represent parts of products (ID 4 and 5 in the table). When a bar (part) is selected I want to show the summary of the issue which is linked to this part. E.g. when someone selects ID 4 (Part 4), the table should show the summary "XYQ" of ID 1 (issue 1). How can I write a measure which allows a table to display only the issues which are linked to the selected part? There is a path available which works from higher levels (Product, part, sub part, issue) to lower levels. Furthermore, this path is available in separate columns, so issues have a link to Part ID included. However, Parts do not have a direct link to Issues. ID Summary Type Parent Path Product ID (LVL1) Part ID (LVL2) Sub Part ID (LVL3) Issue ID (LVL4) 1 XYQ Issue 3 3|4|2|1 3 4 2 1 2 ABC Sub-part 4 3|4|2 3 4 2 3 DEF Product 6 3 3 - - 4 GHI Part 3 3|4 3 4 - 5 DJI Part 3 3|5 3 5 - My intuition says the measure should allow to show "all summaries", of “all issues” which have “the Selected Parts’ ID” in their own “Part ID column”. Thank you so much, Gijs741Views0likes2CommentsGantt Chart
Anyone knows if there is a way to hide levels in a gantt chart when the level above doesn't have any children tasks. At the moment all the tasks that dont have children get repeated in the level below. I have tried with Gantt Charts by xViz and MAQ Software, but both have the same problem.923Views0likes1Comment
