Hi, It could be useful in the future be able to manage user permissions in the folders into the same workspace. In this way it's possible to manage the access of the users for some contents avoiding the creation of N workspaces or avoiding the RLS (that's very useful for some context. Hello everyone, I spent a week trying to connect a cloud report with the data in an AWS EC2 instance with a Windows server. My sources of data are a Microsoft SQL server in another machine and some excel and CSV files. My SQL server is running in another machine and can be reached via an internal AWS network and with the respective security group configuration. I could expose/"connect with the app" to the SQL server via a gateway install in my Windows server. I also have the files in the server but I can't expose them via the gateway, showing me bad credentials when I try to add them as files new data source. I also tried to upload and share via one drive, but I couldn't link the files via sharepoint. I hope someone could help me. Dear Sir/Madam, We got "Could not load folder contents, Something went wrong. Please try again later." error when browsing to our Power BI Report Server. We can "Manage folder", upload pbix files, create folder "blindly". We can view the report with driect URL such as https://sitename/Reports/powerbi/PowerBI/dashboard. We then can manage the report's properties such as updating Scheduled refresh. But we can't see the folders. We also can't update our reports. Any idea what could be wrong here? Our VM is Windows 2012 R2. Power BI RS is January 2019. Thanks, ChiayuSolved5.9KViews0likes1CommentHow to copy an existing folder together with associated users and their permissions?
Hi, I have a requirement to make a new folder which has a new name (doh!), but keep all the users from another folder and their respective roles/permissions. There are over 80 users in the old folder and it seems logical that copying the old folder with its users and then renaming it is a simpler approach. I tried finding a "copy/paste" type of command in the web interface, to no avail. Could anyone kindly advise how can this be accomplished? Is this potentially a PowerShell script kind of job?
