I am creating Paginated Report based on PBI Dataset. I selected Dataset as Data Source, but while creating Dataset using Query Designer I get notification under "Measures" category: More Measures exist than can be shown. And many measures needed for my report are not in my measure folder. How do I access full list of measures? I tried adding them manually in querry Expression, but as soon as I add measures that don't show up in querry designer, I get this error:Solved2.5KViews0likes3CommentsError "The Item '' cannot be found" when scheduling refresh
Hello all! we just upgraded our server to Septemeber 2022 and are running into an issue with scheduling refreshes. This is a new thing we've never done on this server before, so I'm not sure if this issue is related to the upgrade or just server set up. When trying to schedule a data refresh, we're getting an error message of "The item 'x/x' cannot be found. However, the item exists, and works. How can we fix this?1.3KViews0likes2Comments')' expected, but all () statements are closed
Hello, I am getting an error in Power BI Report Builder that I am positive I should not be getting. I'll let it speak for itself. Here is the error message: But here is the formula for "DataBar2": Can you see the problem? All four sets of parentheses have an opening and closing parenthesis, but the error message says that it expects a closing parenthesis somewhere. My question is, where does it expect the closing parenthesis, and why? Please ensure you have thoroughly read the question and passed a Captcha before responding. I don't want another extremely unhelpful response from a bot. EDIT: Here is some context: The "Percent" in the formula refers to a dataset I have named Percent. The deductible value was taken from the same cube in both my main and Percent datasets, but the percent dataset aggregates by State and Year fields while the main one also aggregates by City. The above formula is used for the City level databar. The goal is to have a report that separates the data by state and city, with the parameter being Year. I figured that by creating a new dataset that gives the deductible by year and state, I could get subtotals for each state within each year. Here's a sample of the report in design view: And here's a picture of what the report currently looks like without the databar: The far right column is supposed to show the total by state or city and year. 99,669.71 is the grand total, but 4100 is the total for the year 2005. 4100 is shown at the bottom as a total column, as shown here:Solved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsSparklines in Matrix don't appear in Server
Hello Everyone, I have a problem with Sparklines. When I add them in a matrix and then upload the report to the server the graph breaks and in its place it presents an error. We have the January 2022 edition in both server and desktop optimized for RS. In my desktop the graphs seems fine. Do we have to enable them and every new feature as well when we install the newest edition of RS as we do for desktop? Thank you in advance, EleftheriaSolved2.5KViews0likes2CommentsPower BI Error

Hi, Need help to understand more about an error message that I receive when opening a file on Power BI Optimized version, I make sure that I do not use the Import Query, no Order-by, no CTE or any other limitations that may throw an error, but with all the precautions, I receive an error message with not very helpful details. It would be great if Power BI could guide the user with appropriate error details. Need help to understand, is there any way to get more details about an error.2KViews0likes7CommentsScheduled Refresh Issue - [0] 0: Model can not be refreshed for files not mapped to a network share
I have just published my first reports to BI report server . One of which has 4 pages , for display purposed I have another 4 reports that are the individual pages of the first report (ie first report with pages deleted but exactly the same underlying data and design). They all run on a 3 minute schedule refresh. I have noticed that they all fail intermittently at different times and they give the following error message: "Data refresh failed. Please try again later or contact your administrator." With the information giving error details: "SessionID: 979d17a1-e778-4ba3-accb-e3f69575a904 [0] 0: Model can not be refreshed for files not mapped to a network share" What am I doing wrong / how can I rectify these. at first they were all refreshing fine but now they have become divergent and therefore all show data from different times.1.3KViews0likes2CommentsNamed Pipes Error 40
I have a somewhat unique situation and I'm having trouble finding an answer anywhere online. So I have two servers, both Windows servers 2016. One soley a MySQL server, the other a web server. I am attempting to set up power bi report server on my web server, when I do this I get the part where I'm attempting to connect to my database. It then gives me an error that it can't connect: "Could not connect to server: A network-related or instance specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server" ... "(provider: Named Pipes Provider, error 40 - Could not open a conncetion to SQL Server)". From doing a bit of digging it 'seems' like this is what you get when you use an MSSQL query to try to connect to a MySQL database. However I have installed 'MySQL Connector Net 8.0.16' on the web server, and by default there's a 'Connector NET 8.0' on the mysql server - after installing mysql, so I assumed it wouldn't be a problem. I am new to power bi though, so I'm curious if there's something I've missed? Or some other reason I might be getting this error? *It should be noted that I am able to connect to this server using my normal methods (usually php connection strings). In addition I opened up port 1433 on both servers just in case.3.1KViews0likes2CommentsUpgrading existing SSRS to PBIRS, Web Portal Error: "The service is not available."
I've spent hours researching this and to no avail. We've upgraded SQL Server 2016 to 2017 and detached the ReportServer db as part of this process. After installing SSRS v14.0.6514.11481 and pointing to the restored ReportServer db it worked perfectly. The problem came when we tried to upgrade to PBIRS. Recieved this message when navigating to the localserver/Reports portal: Checked the logs and it said: ERROR: Database downgrade detected. The database schema version is newer than service schema version. Not sure how to proceed here. Why would the db schemas be incompatible?
