PBI Report Server: import mode & data encryption
Hello, If I adopt import mode, the report is saved in Power BI Report Server. Is the report encrypted by default? Where is stored the report in the server? My report contains data affected by confidentiality information and I I have to guarantee encrypted data. Thanks for support, Marco.
Enable MySQL Data Source Encryption on Reporting Server
I have created a simple power bi report in desktop, connected to an internal MySQL (MariaDB) database, which enforces connecting using SSL (but does not require certificate files). On desktop, the data load works correctly. When this report gets saved to our reporting server, I cannot configure the data source for the file to connect using the same credentials & authentication mode. I am guessing that it isn't using encryption, but needs to, and I can't find a parameter to enable to inform the server to do so. On the desktop, there is a single checkbox to use encryption, but I cannot find the same option anywhere within the reporting server. We are looking to deploy Power BI Reports to our Power BI Report Server with data from an Oracle database. The data is sensitive and needs to remain encrypted right up to the time the user views the reports. The data in oracle is encrypted and we have no issues accessing that and having it decrypted when querying it into the PB data model. We need to understand if the data is encrypted when it is sitting in the Power BI Report Server after the scheduled refresh and before it is accessed by the end user. We are not able to find any documentation on this. Any ideas from the community?
