Good morning all. Spent the last few days going around in circles trying to fix an issue that seems to have appeared at work this last week or so. We noticed that some of our power BI reports deployed to the report server are now not accessible. You can't manage them in the application (Getting a "An error has occurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later." message), unable to delete. Trying to deploy and looking in the logs and it's complaining about the file not being found (). If I start on PBI RS App and try and open a report from the report server, I can navigate to the server and through the folders and see the files, but on selecting I get an error ("ERROR Unexpected Error Encountered"). Hi there, We want to set-up a deployment strategy, we have three Power bi report server environment (dev, test, prod) . we just use power bi desktop and Power BI report server. Our deployment strategy will be: -Developers publish reports from the power bi desktop to the dev environment -Admin will migrate reports from dev to test environment -Admin will migrate reports from test to prod environment the first step is retrieving catalog item, i can see the power bi report (ADW_adventures). when migration start, i get errors for powerBIReport Error: Migrating PowerBIReport: /source/data/ADW_adventures System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The item '/source/data/ADW_adventures' cannot be found. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ItemNotFoundException: The item '/source/data/ADW_adventures' cannot be found. at Microsoft.ReportingServices.Library.ReportingService2010Impl.GetItemDefinition(String ItemPath, Byte[]& Definition) at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WebServer.ReportingService2010.GetItemDefinition(String ItemPath, Byte[]& Definition) Do you have any insights why I’m getting the error? do you know if there is other solution for the deployment strategy? Hello Community, I have used theses lines in order to deploy a pbix file on Report Server : $session = New-RsRestSession -ReportPortalUri http://lservername/Reports Write-RsRestCatalogItem -WebSession $session -Path "C:\2019\mypbix.pbix" -RsFolder "/MyFolder" It is working fine. Now, when I need to update the bix with another version , I used the same command bellow but I am getting this error : Write-RsRestCatalogItem : System.Exception: Failed to create catalog item: The remote server returned an error: (409) Conflict. ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (409) Conflict. at Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.WebRequestPSCmdlet.GetResponse(WebRequest request) at Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.WebRequestPSCmdlet.ProcessRecord() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- At line:1 char:1 + Write-RsRestCatalogItem -WebSession $session -Path "C:\2019\PwC Acade ... + ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ + CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Write-Error], WriteErrorException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.WriteErrorException,Write-RsRestCatalogItem Does any one please have an idea about hte command PowerShell that could update apbix previously on the Server please by a new version ? Hi, A new installation of the power-bi on-premises was installed in our server. I did manage to configure the power-bi part, but now the report server part is giving me an error: Invalid name space. I think it has to do with the fact that there are two ssrs servers installed in one machine, but I am not sure what to do. Also, I am trying to deploy a power bi report into the on-premises server, but I am not sure how. From the desktop it only lets me deploy to the cloud. How do I fix that? We're trying out Power BI Report Server (trial version 15.0.2.402) and are unable to deploy an .rdl (using VS 2014) or upload using Portal URL. Attempting to deploy using VS 2014 we continue to get Login box with Username and Password, which keeps popping up each time we try with Admin credentials. Using the web portal we get "An error has ocurred. Something went wrong. Please try again later." We can upload a simple .txt file however (?). Here's part of the RSPortal log file that shows the error: "System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized." We are able to upload .pbix type analytics reports (?) 2018-08-24 13:11:18.6033|INFO|52|CFG : AccessControlAllowCredentials = [false] (env) 2018-08-24 13:11:18.6033|INFO|52|Received request GET /assets/fonts/powerbiglyphs-regular.woff| RequestID = s_cbfe053b-aedb-43a6-99ad-d47e7691f1b6 2018-08-24 13:11:18.7153|INFO|52|Received request GET /api/v2.0/catalogitems%284f81527a-db55-46b1-9bdd-6f442e1c3489%29/Model.Folder/catalogitems/| RequestID = s_bfe11654-f05e-4c56-897c-e52937f6ed46 2018-08-24 13:11:18.7153|INFO|53|Sending response.
