date slicers
5 TopicsObtaining last month graphic while using a date slicer
Hi everyone, I would like to show the selected month and previous month data, allowing for the user to select a month via a Month Year slicer. I have a User table, and a Date table. My Date table has month offset. I'm not sure what I need to do to my measures, for it to still be able to take into consideration the selected month, but show me the values of the selected month -1. When I try to do that in my measure, shows up blank (the 3rd bar from the top on the "Previous Month" funnel). I can't tell it to ignore the Month Year filter, because I need it in the calculation, to subtract by month offset -1. Any thoughts? This is an example of how I tried to filter for the previous month within my measure. # Accredited Users (time based -1 month) = CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT(Users[User Id]), FILTER(Users, Users[Accredited Status]="ACCREDITED" ), FILTER(ALLSELECTED('Date Table'), 'Date Table'[Month Offset]=-1), USERELATIONSHIP(Users[Date],'Date Table'[Date])) But since I have the Date slicer on, it's not showing any data outside of the date slicer range.920Views0likes4CommentsChallenge with date calcs
Hi - seeking help from this great community! I am trying to prepare a table that has full quarter (QTR) and QTD information at the same time using sample data below: Data: Product Date Amt A 01/01/2020 100 A 15/02/2020 200 A 17/03/2020 150 I have active slicers for year and month components to enable the QTD calculation. So if I were to pick Year = 2020 and month = Feb, here's what I would want to see as output in a table: QTD QTR Product A 300 450 The QTD calc works fine....but I can't seem to figure out how to get a measure that essentially follows the year slicer while at the same time ignores the specific month slicer for filtering yet uses that month to identify the relevant quarter I need. Hi - I'd like to default date slicers to last month (updating each month automatically) but allow users to change the dates if necessary. Adding a relative date filter to that slicer accomplishes the first part but it seems that it doesn't allow the user to change the dates to anything outside the dates selected in the filter. .e.g I set the relative date filter to last month. The date slicer that defaults to 12/1/17-12/31/17. I'm unable to update the date filters to anything before 12/1/17 or anything after 12/31/17 (only in between). Is there a way to accomplish this? I'm using a date slicer in a pbi desktop report. I set the Header option to on (in format tab) so I can see the following options when I select carrot icon by the eraser (in the slicer): "Between" "Before" "After" "List" "Dropdown" "Relative" (all of which work fine/as expected) I save the report and post it to the Report Server, but those options do not appear. Is there a way to display them so users can slice on the date using the options above? desktop: Thanks864Views0likes0Comments
