How to increase data retention period in ReportServer database for monitoring dashboards
Hi everyone, I'm currently using the ReportServer database to build a monitoring dashboard for my SSRS reports. Everything is working fine, but I’ve noticed that the available data only covers the last 60 days. For better trend analysis, I need to retain data for a longer period (e.g. 90 days or more). Does anyone know how I can increase the data retention period in the ReportServer database, so that my dashboard can show a broader timeline? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏 Thanks in advance

Unable to create a database for the report server
Hello, currently I am trying to create a database using the configuration manager, but as soon as I reach the task for running the script (first screenshot) I get the following error: Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to change the language while setting up the reporting server, so the error log is in german. Hola, Estoy tomando varios archivos excel, carpetas y otros power BI para crear un reporte. Al ser publicado me aparece lo siguiente: Y cuando entro a "Open dataset settings" me aprece lo siguiente: De igual manera no me deja seleccionar una puerta de enlace: Lo anterior hace que no pueda tener la opción de actualizar automaticamente y algunos visuales que se alimentan de infromación extraida de otro power BI no puedo verlas: ¿Alguien puede ayudarme a solucionar este problema?

Direct Query Connection - Increase in number of connections in database
Hello Everyone, I am using direct query to connect to SQL database. Off late, i have observed that with direct query mode, each visual of report is consuming individual database connection and ending up creating mutiple connections to load a single report. However, this is not applicable to Slicer visual but for rest of the visuals i see this is happening. Can any one help me in optimising the number of connections getting created in database using direct query. Please see that to support the architechture, i need to go for direct query mode. Refresh taking multiple licenses for custom database
Hello, I'm developing a dashboard for the company that I currently work for. I'm getting data from a licensed database that we own, and we currently own 24 licenses for that database. However, whenever I refresh the data in Power BI, it uses up as many licenses as it can. Is there a setting where I can refresh each table one at a time using the same license? Data Source on uploaded report greyed out and not working - Oracle
Hi, I am wondering if somebody can give me some advice.... I have created a simple test report on the desktop version of Power BI which hits my Oracle database fine. Saving the same report on a Power BI Report Server and running it does not work even though the tnsnames information is correct. I have also noticed that the data source settings with in the report are greyed out: However, I can create a data source on the Power BI Reporting server and test it fine: I am fairly confident therefore the Oracle client info and tnsnames.ora server side are OK. How do I go about playing with the data source on the uploaded report if it is greyed out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

MySQL vs PostgreSQL with SSRS?
I'm setting up a Redmine server and I'd like to write SSRS reports against it, looks like I can do either PostgreSQL or MySQL for the database, does anyone know whether one or the other is easier to connect to with SSRS? Thanks.
